This miniseries is the foundation of my frustration with how the X-line has been managed. I can't speculate on why Jordan White was ousted as editor. In fact, it seems like a lot of Marvel editorial is being moved around, and this could just be Marvel changing things up for the line. But if I could think of a reason, it would be how this final leg of the Krakoa age is being handled. I don't actually agree that this storyline is too convoluted or that it doesn't make sense. It does make sense and is mostly linear... if you read all the books. And Dead X-Men is particularly unfortunate because it has to give itself something to do while pushing forward its one important plot point. And all that build up... for an actual payoff in another title. This little mini era will probably make a great omnibus, assuming the mapping is on point. But this title on its own doesn't carry its weight. more
