Faith (Mini-Series) #1

Jan 28, 2016

If you're looking for a superhero title that branches away from the standards of DC and Marvel, I definitely suggest checking out Faith. It is only a four-part series, but perhaps with enough praise and sales from fans, we could see Faith extended into a regular monthly title. Also after reading Faith, I've become interested in trying to learn about some other parts of the Valiant universe and would like to see where Faith got her start in the Renegades. If you're a fan of other solo-female superhero titles like Ms. Marvel or Spider-Gwen, this book should be relevant to your interests!

Faith (Mini-Series) #2

Feb 23, 2016

Faith has a lot of ground to cover in the final two issues. Faith #2 was definitely another strong showing from the creative team of Houser, Portela, and Sauvage. Even though she has many adversities to overcome, Faith is staying strong and I hope is able to beat these calamities. I highly recommend picking up Faith #2.

Ghostbusters International #1

Jan 30, 2016

Reading Ghostbusters International has given me faith that IDW can do this treasured franchise justice. Burnham seems to truly understand the mechanics of the Ghostbusters universe and it shines in the dialogue. While the art style seems a bit off to me, perhaps Schoening uses it to show the lightheartedness and comedic offerings of Ghostbusters. If you are a Ghostbusters fan, I definitely suggest checking out Ghostbusters International. It felt like meeting up with an old friend I haven't seen in years.

Ghostbusters International #2

Feb 23, 2016

Ghostbusters International #2 was another enjoyable read. Burnham truly understands how to write these characters and is crafting an interesting story. We now know the fate of the Ghostbusters team is still in PCOC's hands, but we know not what dangers lurk in Poveglia. The artwork by Schoening may not be the best asset of this title, but it also doesn't detract from the overall quality either. I feel his artwork will make you love it or leave it. At any rate, I can hardly wait for the next issue to see what ghastly ghouls the boys will be taking on.

Street Fighter X G.I. JOE #1

Feb 23, 2016

While initially I was excited to run out and grab this book, I've pretty much decided its not for me. An uninteresting story coupled with messy artwork has me very disappointed in Street Fighter X G.I. Joe #1. This might be a comic for only the truly hardcore fans or someone looking to grab a very simple read. Perhaps the series will get better, but issue one leaves me with little hope of that.
