All in all, a delightful story from Shannon and Dean Hale with art by the equally delightful Asiah Fulmore.

All in all, Dark Knights Death Metal Speed Metal #1 was a spectacular issue thanks to writer Joshua Williamson with some stunning art by Eddy Barrows. Williamson successfully returns The Flash family to the DCU (hopefully) and Barrows brings it all to life. There's also a great moment between Wally and Barry in an almost passing of the torch scene. Definitely one for Flash fans and is a great side book of Dark Knights Death Metal!

Well written by Ram V, he still channels the voice of James Tynion IV who ends up telling a decent story, even with the clichs thrown into the mix. Supporting his writing is the amazing art of Amancay Nahulapn who helps bring the magical world of the DCU to life. The unfortunate aspect of this comic is that we more than likely know how it will end and heres hoping that Ram V will soon be able to forge a new direction.

Highly Recommended!

If youre enjoying Dark Knight Death Metal, the Dark Knights Death Metal Guidebook is a must have comic that puts more content on the main series and more importantly is a totally enjoyable read from start to finish.

Dark Nights Metal#2 brings back the heart of the DCU and continues its excellent world-building to something big!

All in all, an enjoyable Superman tale which Bendis makes quite fun, especially the counseling of Clark by the rather inexperienced Khalid. While the villain will be cliched (who isn't?), particularly with his, her or its villainous dialogue "Xanadoth the Lord of the Lords of Chaos. Xanadoth, true owner of that Helmet of Fate", I'm sure it will come together exceptionally well and in classic Bendis fashion.

Once again Snyder stacks this comic with a plethora of cameos from Lobo to the Demon, including an awesome scene with our Batman using a Black Lantern ring against the Dark Knights.

All in all, Green Lantern #10 was fun and engaging read that is well-written and boasts some spectacular art from Liam Sharp who celebrates the Green Lantern mythology from across the multiverse. As a result, its my favourite issue of this series so far, even though it was a little tangential at times but overall it draws you int this immersive story.

Furthermore, its great that Tynion IV pays homage to his source material, particularly that of Doctor Fate with a great link to the Dark Multiverse. Add in the stellar art of Alvaro Martinez Beuno who successfully captures the world of DCU magic plus the characters with all their emotions perfectly, including the M.C Escher feel to the Tower of Fate and this was easily my favourite issue of Justice League Dark and I for one cannot wait to see how it all unfolds!

Wow… after 8 issues, I was not expecting this turn of events and while most of the clues have fallen into place with answers, there's still a few more left such as the Justice Society of America, the Legion of Superheroes and what is Superman's final role in the Doomsday Clock. With three more issues to go, I'm eager to see how it all pans out and writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank should be commended on delivering an impressive issue with great writing stellar art.

Although we are no closer to learning who the killer or killers are, we do get some more clues as we the reader try to solve The Sanctuary massacre. All in all, probably my favourite issue so far due to the characterisation and dialogue not to mention the amazing art of Clay Mann! As a result, Heroes in Crisis #5 gets my comic of the week.

In the end, Justice League Dark #7 is probably my favourite issue so far due to the well-written elements of this story, exploration of the darker side of the DCU plus the truly beautiful art of Alvaro Martnez Bueno who creates a very dynamic and supernatural tale from start to finish and his pencils perfectly accompany the writer. All in all, another stunning issue.

Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp continue their interesting and entertaining run on Green Lantern who both add a plethora of DC Easter Eggs that makes the story jam packed with delicious outer space goodness which also channels that innocent silver age feel of the 60s. All in all, another interesting issue as Hal Jordan goes face to face with God and gets closer to the mystery of Commander Mu and his villainous plan.

Grant Morrison is building to something big and with issue #2, this theme continues, especially with planet Earth missing. What I enjoyed about the issue, besides the excellent dialogue and lots of Easter eggs was that this incarnation of the Green Lantern are space cops, not superheroes looking to save the universe but aliens who have banded together to enforce law and order which surprisingly works well in this book.

Shazam #1 was a fun read and while long-term fans may be annoyed at the new approach to Captain Marvel, it was still a strong issue that really humanised these characters opposed to making them undefeatable heroes. Beautifully drawn, Dale art really complements the words of Geoff that at the end of the day, feels like a Golden Age tale made today… which might be what Geoff was trying to establish.

Wow… it's finally hit the fan in Doomsday Clock and I'm eager to see how it all unfolds and more importantly how the JSA fits into the picture. Well written and illustrated, this gets my comic of the week.

An interesting issue that poses more question than answers and although this story has divided the world of DC fandom, I'm betting that the virtual reality aspect of this story is part of the mystery… but we'll see!

The Injustice 2 Annual #2 was another impressive read from Tom Taylor who really drew the emotional draw cards out for this issue. It was a great comparison seeing close friends Batman and Superman where they once were to where they are now in their lives. Furthermore, it set some perspective into the universe of Injustice again by revisiting the catalyst of this alternate timeline, particularly from a point of friendship and broken friendships. The issue is also spectacularly draw and really brings the emotions to life thanks to the excellent Bruno Redondo.

Justice League Dark #5 was another strong issue from this creative team and is definitely a story that should be read by those fans who enjoy the darker side of the DCU.

Although a little strange at times, this is classic Grant Morrison as he takes Hal Jordan back to basics with his unique Silver Age twist on this classic character, including his existentialist view on what makes this hero tick. Given that there's so much happening in this issue, it probably requires a second read, particularly with the extremely detailed art of Liam Sharp who incorporates a clever layer of 60's psychedelic which was when this character was created.

Justice League Dark Wonder Woman Witching Hour #1 nicely concludes this story and although some parts felt slightly rushed, writer James Tynion IV nicely linked the story to the first arc and it was great seeing Dr Fate again, although I'm guessing his part in all this has just begun as with the Justice League Dark. The story has also resulted in some new players in the world of magic as artist Jesus Merino successfully brings it all together as the first blockbuster event of Justice League Dark finishes.

Although not as powerful as the previous issue, Tom King only delivers a handful of clues in this issue about the mass murder in the first issue. I felt that issue 2 focused on the vulnerabilities of the heroes of the DCU which did work well. The dialogue was good, although a few moments such as Harley Quinn defeating the trinity was a little far fetched or Batman being caught again lying to his friends Superman and Wonder Woman again. The art was great, however it did seem a little disjointed compared to the first issue due to the two artists but all in all, a relatively solid issue about the mystery of Sanctuary.

All in all, another decent issue from James Tynion IV and co.

Wow… another great and emotional issue by Taylor and with Brainiac just a stone's throw away from Earth, things are going to get tough… again. Supporting the excellent dialogue and storytelling were artists Daniel Sampere and Bruno Redondo who successfully bring this story to life in some truly action-filled and emotional panels. All in all another kick-ass issue!

All in all, another enjoyable issue from Tom Taylor and although a little on the slower side, it was still a great read from start to finish with some clever dialogue, world-building and excellent art by Daniel Sampere and Bruno Redondo who were made to draw this comic.

This issue explores some of the relationships between members such as Zatanna and John Constantine who have ‘history', including the motivations of characters such as Zatanna and Swamp Thing. Overall, it's a well written issue and perfectly illustrated by Emanuela Lupacchino who brings the characters to life.

All in all, another strong issue from Tynion who expands on his journey through the magicverse of the DCU that is perfectly illustrated by Jesus Merino.

So if you're looking for something different, check out Justice League Odyssey which is on sale now.

We finally have some concrete answers as to how the DC has been tampered with and how hope has been lost. With Doctor Manhattan's involvement, he has prevented the banding together of the Justice Society of America that has had repercussions on the timeline and one that has been felt by Saturn Girl. Furthermore, Johnny Thunder knows that his friends existed and with four more issues still left, I'm guessing this is the calm before the storm, especially with Ozymandias now knowing something that he shouldn't. All in all, a strong issues by Geoff Johns with some exceptional art by Gary Frank who captures both the characters of this universe well.

Heroes in Crisis was a powerful and emotional read that will create some major ripples through fandom, especially with the deaths of Roy and Wally and that Booster or Harley may be guilty of this heinous crime.

All in all another strong issue from Taylor and co!

Wow! What an issue! Azzarello creates a gripping rendition of the Batman who is experiencing his own personal hell with a large taint of the supernatural. So while characters are familiar, Batman is a little off because he is experiencing something that he has not experienced before which is his greatest weakness. So while the mystery is never answered, Azzarello is building up for something big and when matched with the amazing art of Bermejo, this comic is like a piece of art. Bermejo also channels a touch of Gothic Art which makes the story even more compelling and his characters are flawless representations of their tamer DCU counterparts.

All in all, an engaging issue from start to finish that does need more clues as this issue did at times feel like a filler. Nonetheless, I'm invested to see where this all ends.

Another enjoyable issue, although Kent Nelson fans may be annoyed, especially if this story arc returns the helmet to Khalid Nassour.

Injustice 2 #32 was another thoroughly enjoyable read from Tom Taylor who adds some powerful emotion into the story such as the scene with Hal and Sinestro where his former mentor tells him that he was his best student or to the final scene between Sinestro and his daughter.

Although I enjoyed this issue of Hawkman, we are no closer to any answers as the mysteries of Carter's previous lives still eludes both he and the reader. Nonetheless writer Robert Venditti did explore this concept well with some strong narration and with the amazing art of Bryan Hitch, I'm eager to see where this bird will land.

Add in twists after twists and Injustice 2 should really be on your pull list, especially with the detailed and spectacular art from Daniel Sampere who also hits this comic out of the park. So when these two creators get together, you really know that you are in for a treat and Injustice 2 is an example of how modern comics should play out.

All in all, a fun, albeit slow issue and as we are only at issue 6 of 12, I'm hoping that Geoff and co pick up the pace a little more… like where is the Justice Society of America and the Legion of Superheroes?

In the end, Justice League Dark #1 was a strong start and I'm eager for issue 2 and as the Tree of Wonder happens to be Salem, I'm looking forward to see how this all plays out and courtesy of the story, the dialogue and the art, I'm invested!

Although this issue was a breather before the true war with Starro the Conquer, writer Tom Taylor created a compelling and rather emotional story about uncertainty and the passing of the torch. Not only did the issue feature some kick-ass action but he creates some really amazing stories of this twisted DCU with more supporting cast then you can poke a stick at. Add in the art of Xermanico and he successfully captures the danger of a Red Lantern Starro the Conquerer, including the strength of the heroes involved.

Although there's been some criticism on James Robinson's run of Wonder Woman, I thoroughly enjoyed it and his take on the “new” gods. Issue #50 was a little lacklustre in terms of the previous issues but it was still a satisfying conclusion with some fun dialogue, great characterisation and awesome art by Stephen Segovia, Jesus Merino and Andy Owens.

Wow… writer Robert Vendetti successfully puts a clever twist on Hawkman lore, particularly with all his past lives and how it transcends both time and space. Sure, we don't have any answers but the story, dialogue and characterisation is enjoyable from start to finish, especially with the larger than life art from Bryan Hitch.

Like previous issues, this story has some great character development, world building and Tom Taylor successfully captures the voice of each and every character. There's also an amusing moment when Batman finds out that the Booster and the Titans have stolen the Javelin from the Hall of Justice and even though he is quite annoyed, his partner Selina (Catwoman) watches on in amusement. Add in the amazing art of Bruno Redondo and he really brings this issue to life with some larger than life panels and great emotions that turns this issue into my favourite comics for the week.

Even though there has been some criticism of James Robinsons run of Wonder Woman, Ive really enjoyed it and sure, the dialogue can be clichd at times but when it comes to epic stories, this writer definitely delivers. Furthermore he captures the voices of the characters well and when matched with the truly stunning and dynamic art of Jesus Merino, it creates this almost summer blockbuster feel.

All in all, Injustice 2 #28 was another home-run from writer Tom Taylor who creates a gripping story "off-world" with some perfect characterisation and world-building which is backed by the flawless art of Daniel Sampere which is just wow.

Add in some fun twists like Sinestro and our "favourite" Martian in a place of prominence again and this is definitely my Justice League that when matched with the art of Jorge Jiminez really draws you from start to finish and helps showcase a universe bigger then what we thought with the characters that we all love.

Things are never black and white in James Robinson's Wonder Woman and issue #45 delivers an action packed and unexpected story from start to finish.

Action Comics #1000 was a fun read that brings together a collection of stories celebrating the Man of Steel and if you're eager to see where Brian Michael Bendis will taking Superman, this is the issue to get.

Like previous issues of Injustice 2, it is well written and Tom Taylor who creates a compelling yet broken universe, including some excellent dialogue and witty humour. Not only Taylor get into the head space of each and every character, he also adds an element of suspense and surprise that works on every level. Then you have the impressive art of Bruno Redondo who gives the comic that Summer Blockbuster feel and is almost to die for.

The Brave and the Bold: Batman and Wonder Woman is another strong issue from Liam Sharp as he brings together the world of man and myth with two of the DCU's greats. Not only is it a well-written issue with some great world-building but it's perfectly drawn by Sharp thanks to his detailed art… and man, this art belongs in a museum!

All in all it's a well written issue with some gorgeous art that does create an engaging comic from start to finish. For a first issue, it works well and definitely kept my interest, although some elements could have been explored further. Nonetheless, a fun premise!

I really enjoyed this issue that had this summer blockbuster feel to it with some spectacular art by Emanuela Lupacchino who helps bring James Robinson's story to life. Robinson has a great grasp on all the characters involved, particularly Wonder Woman and her antagonist Darkseid. At times, the dialogue is a little clucnky but for the most part, Robinson creates an epic story with some of the greats of the DCU.

Twists twists and more twists! Injustice 2 #23 delivers spectacularly!

Ivan Reis and Jeff Lemire continue kicking goals with The Terrifics and here's hoping that these ‘New Age of Heroes' will remain around for a long time and I for one cannot wait until they meet Tom Strong. All in all, a fun story, great dialogue and perfect art!

Doomsday Clock #4 is a slow issue as John tells a tale of a broken man, now trapped in the DCU with some interesting elements and cameos found along the way.

Wow what an issue and the creative still continue kicking goals with excellent story telling, realistic dialogue and characters that successfully pay homage to their cores, however in this broken world of the Injustice 2 universe. The story is really heating up again I'm really eager to see how this story pans out. It's also a comic that continues to surprise me, not to mention the amusing dialogue and raw emotions that helps bring this story to life. The only slight negative and this is very small is that the art changes in the middle of the story which does make it a little disjointed.

Action Comics #999 was a fitting farewell from Dan Jurgens who has easily created one of the best interpretations of Superman in a long-time. Complementing the story is the fantastic art from Will Conrad who successfully celebrates the mythology of Superman and his supporting cast. From here, Action Comics #1000 is coming that will celebrate 80 years of the Man of the Steel!

Artist Miguel Mendonca draws an almost perfect Justice League with some great action scenes, including some emotional panels which draws this story together nicely. With the Justice League line-up coming to an end soon and then another rebirth, Orlando's run has definitely been one enjoyable ride with more ups than downs.

All in all, another enjoyable issue from writer James Robinson with some Glorious Godfrey art by Jesus Merino who creates a perfect Wonder Woman with some stellar panels and a truly horrifying Darkseid.

Injustice 2 continues its heading towards the video game and this series makes the perfect accompaniment that is made more like a blockbuster comic thanks to writer Tom Taylor.

All in all, another enjoyable issue of the Justice League of America!

Mera also meets with the Madam Secretary as the Queen attempts to keep peace between the United States and Atlantis, however if the war in the ocean spills into this territory, the US will be forced to act. The issue ends with Orm pondering the devastating events on Atlantis and whether he should reclaim the mantle of Ocean Master again. Writer Dan Abnett created a compelling issue with a very interesting Mera that we can all relate too. Lan Medina also draws the perfect rendition of this Queen and although some panels feel a little rushed, the majority of the comic is quite stunning.

Complementing the story was the brilliant art of Stephen Segovia who not only draws a mean Darkseid but a perfect Wonder Woman as he captures everything that this hero is meant to be. He also brought a warmth to his art, particularly with the scenes between Diana and Steve plus a chilling moment with Darkseid as he murders one of the natives of the temple has has stolen on Earth. All in all, another enjoyable issue and probably my favourite of the week… oh… the last page is almost worth the admission price alone.

All in all, Action Comics #998 was a fun read and provided a satisfying conclusion to this current arc. Like previous issues, it was well written by Dan Jurgens and beautifully illustrated by Will Conrad who was born to draw the Man of Steel. So with the end of this chapter of Superman almost over, a new chapter is about to begin but before that, we still have Action Comics #999 to come!

Complementing the crazy story, whacky dialogue and over the top moments, artist Riley Rossmo really brings it all together and his style creates an explosive, almost blockbuster comic experience. All in all, it's a great way to start and for one cannot wait to see where Deathbed unfolds.

Boo-yeah! This was one of my favourite issues of Injustice 2 and with Ted Grant (aka the Wildcat) and Charles McNider back, does this mean we might be seeing another doctor from the Justice Society?

The Brave and the Bold: Batman and Wonder Woman is building to something big, so bring on issue #2!

Action Comics #997 is building to something big and this was a fun issue from start to finish. Sure, we all know how it will end but it's all about the journey that boasts decent characterisation, enjoyable dialogue and some dynamic art from Brett Booth who really brings this issue to life.

The story ends with Jason being engulfed in dark purple energy with Diana finding a ‘farewell' note from her brother. Although not as epic as the Darkseid story, it was fun seeing Wonder Woman face a more grounded villain and once again James Robinson delivers a decent issue with a few cliches thrown into the mix. Add in the gorgeous art of Emanuela Lupacchino and she really captures the majesty and power of this Amazonian Goddess and really complements the story of Robinson.

Once again expected the unexpected in Injustice 2 but my only gripe was the death of Tim which in my opinion was not necessary and just a plot trigger. Nonetheless, the dialogue was strong as was the excellent art by Daniel Sampere. Overall, Tom Taylor delivers another strong issue with some perfect characterisation, even though this is an alternate DCU and when matched with Samperes art, its quite the enjoyable read.

All in all, Dark Nights Metal #5 was a fun read and as everything is almost lost for the reality we know as the DCU, there is still a spark waiting to be ignited. Furthermore, there was some great dialogue in the issue and Sydner and Capullo successfully create an epic tale that is backed with some glorious art.

Geoff Johns is really ramping up this series and once again it was filled with some great twists and surprises that I did not see coming. The dialogue is strong, the meeting of two worlds is entertaining and the art of Gary Frank is pure bliss as he helps bring this story to life and I for one can't wait to see where it will lead!

All in all, it was an engaging issue of the Justice League of America with some fun world building by Steve Orlando who still manages to pull those unexpected twists. Sure this is not THE Justice League but I'm finding these lesser members more enjoyable and down to Earth, including the villains that they face. Complementing this story is the detailed and flawless art of Neil Edwards who helps bring this deadly fable to life.

All in all, Action Comics #996 was a well-written comic with some great unexpected twists and some killer art thanks to Will Conrad. I also enjoyed the parallel story of Lois Lane as she searches for her father and once again Action Comics is heading to something big with just four more issues go until we reach the landmark issue 1000.

All in all, Robinson channels a great version of Diana and sure the dialogue is a little cliched at times but he creates some decent characterisation and an enjoyable story that is backed up by the brilliant art of Emanuela Lupacchino who really channels that comic book blockbuster… oh… and there's Darkseid!

Injustice 2 #18 was a really fun read and once again I loved the characterisation of what Tom Taylor delivered and his unique look into this twisted version of the DCU. More importantly, he nails the characters perfectly and with the great dialogue and world building, Injustice 2 #18 was my favourite comic of the week. Add in the flawless art of Xermanico who creates some very dynamic and explosive panels and the words of Taylor with this art comes together very well.

Action Comics #995 was another fun read and Dan Jurgens is once again kicking goals on his Superman run with some great characterisation and fun stories. He has a knack of getting into the mindset of both Superman and Booster to which the later he created and Im eager to see where all this time jumping is heading besides Action Comics #1000!

Wow writer Steve Orlando really delivered in this issue as he successfully brought back the Queen of Fables in spectacular fashion. As per usual, theres some great characterisation and dialogue that is complemented by artist Neil Edwards which creates another blockbuster event for the Justice League of America. Edwards really brings this issue to life and I love his rendition of the Queen of Fables. With the cards down and Batman busy, Im wondering what ace card will be for the League in order for them to defeat the Queen… and Im guessing it will involve Caitlin Snow.

James Robinson continues a home-run on his take Wonder Woman!

All in all another fun issues from Steve Orlando with dynamic art by Stephen Byrne which made this a really fun issue and Im really looking forward the return of the Evil Queen!

Mr Jurgens, you are indeed a tease and Action Comics #994 was a fun read that definitely had parallels to the classic Superman stories of the 90's but with a modern twist. I enjoyed seeing the team-up between Booster Gold and Superman which created an interesting story that I'm sure will have major repercussions on the Man of Steel and I'm eager to see where all these chess pieces fall.

The comic ends with some very insightful pages from the computer of LexNet and the theory about the origins of superheroes on this Earth and that these men and women are government controlled and sponsored. Watchmen anyone?

Wow… this issue was not only beautifully written but also beautifully illustrated as the blockbuster team of Lemire and Hitch delivered a thoroughly enjoyable and mysterious story of Hawkman with some great unexpected twists. Given that the Batman and Superman of the DCU ended up face to face with this twisted version of Hawkman in the last issue of Dark Nights, this comic added some additional insight the missing Carter. More importantly, Lemire pays homage to what has come before him and here's hoping that we'll see an upcoming ongoing from this brilliant creative team!

Wonder Woman #37 was an epic issue and I loved the banter between Zeus and Darkseid with Diana just a pawn in the battle. Now with Darkseid back, the DCU will definitely change and I don't think this god will ignore Wonder Woman for too long. All in all, it was a well written issue that gave us a decent ending with some brilliant art by Carlo Pagulayan who definitely delivered a summer blockbuster.

Dark Nights Metal #4 is another killer issue and the creative team really capture this twisted reality perfectly, not to mention the characters of this diverse and thoroughly interesting universe (s). Dark Nights Metal #4 gets our pick of the week!

Injustice 2 #16 was a breather after the epic ‘conclusion' with Ra's al Ghul and it did feel a little like a filler, however it was interesting to see how Diana was rescued from Paradise Island and thankfully with minimum causalities. I also enjoyed seeing Barry atone for his sins and to help Galaxor plus it was a well illustrated issue with all involved.

Although the trinity saves the day with the help of Deadshot, they were unable to find Zoe, however Batman makes a solemn promise to him that they will find her as the issue ends on a bittersweet comment from this villain. All in all, it was a well written issue with some strong dialogue and characterisation from Rob Williams and some killer art from V. Ken Marion who once again captures these legends well.

Elsewhere in the City of Vanity, the Ray is doing his own crime-fighting as he takes down the Three Devils, however there is a very familiar figure watching over him that I won't spoil here but it's definitely well worth the wait. All in all, another great issue by Steven Orlando with some fantastic and dynamic panels by artist Hugo Petrus and the only drawback in this issue was that I was hoping to see more of the story about the Might Beyond the Mirror… but never fear, this arc commences next issue!

Although James Robinson can get stuck in his Times Past stories at ‘times' but when he's on a roll, his stories are taken to another level and issue #36 of Wonder Woman delivers classic Robinson with some fun and at times predictable twists. Nonetheless, he channels the ‘wonder' of Wonder Woman and I'm eager to see Darkseid vs. Zeus in the next issue!

Like previous issues, Tom Taylor delivers another riveting story and unlike the regular DCU, this world is all about expecting the unexpected which is where this writer succeeds. Furthermore, Tom creates a very compelling universe and his knowledge of the lore of the DCU is exceptional, especially with all the characters he includes in his stories. With lots of surprises along the way and lots of action, Injustice 2 #15 also boasts some exceptional art thanks to Mike Miller, even though the cover looks a little too much like Fathom. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable read from start to finish!

All in all, this story is building to something big and I for one cannot wait to see the return of you know who!

All in all, Action Comics #992 was a fun issue but a little on the filler side which is understandable on what happened in the previous issues. Nonetheless, it is well written and well drawn thanks to Rob Williams who successfully captures the essence of Superman.

So here it is… Doomsday Clock #1. Was it what I was expecting? Not exactly but I'm interested to see how these two worlds will clash. Obviously Rorshach somehow gets to the DCU and more than likely Doctor Manhattan has been interfering with this universe as hinted in Rebirth and other titles. All in all, it was an interesting yet slow start with some engaging text by Geoff Johns plus the amazing art of Gary Frank who was born to draw Superman.

Justice League of America #19 was a fun read as Orlando and Petrus bring back Prometheus to give these heroes some true grief and without the help of Batman, can they survive?

This was a great breather as we're given a recap on how things went over the last few issues and more importantly, there's a storm coming and it's going to be big!

All in all, another fun issue from Gleason and Tomasi with the artistic team of Travis Moore, Stephen Segovia and Art Thibert as they explore what happens when the ‘Super' family are stuck on a lawless Apokolips as their god Darkseid is absent.

The Dark Destiny series had its highs and lows, however the final issue failed to deliver an epic conclusion but thankfully it was still an enjoyable yet forgettable read… a good popcorn read!

Wow… what an interesting issue but it also created more questions as Jurgens successfully ends this arc and once again adds to the Superman mythos. Supporting the story was the majestic art of Viktor Bogdanovic who was truly born to draw Superman and added some great emotional panels into the story, not to mention flawless action scenes.

After the relative slow arc of the Microverse, it's great that Steve Orlando is focusing more on the team as he successfully brings in some great villains, including a lost one. His work is brought to life by Hugo Petrus who creates this amazing dynamic comic with excellent representations of these characters. So with Prometheus on the loose again, I'm eager to see where this goes but I'm more eager to see what the connection is with the Lords of Order and Chaos are with The Might Beyond the Mirror.

All in all, an interesting and enjoyable issue of Wonder Woman!

Deadman #1 is off to an interesting start but be warned if you like your comics wordy, this issue is definitely that, however the legendary Neil Adams successfully brings his A-game to this comic with his fantastic art!

Writers Tomasi and Gleason really capture these characters and it's so refreshing to see the definitive world of Apokolips again. Although Superman was only in a panel or two, it was great reading about Lois, Lex and Jon. Assisting with the story are artists Ed Benes, Doug Mahnke and Jack Herbert who capture these characters perfectly with excellent dynamic panels, emotions and this summer blockbuster feel.

Wonder Woman #33 was another great read by Robinson and even though there are a few cliches and over the top dialogue (e.g. at times he channels Darth Vader as Darkseid), it was still a great insight into both these characters and I for one cannot wait to see how this story pans out… not to mention the anticipated return of Darkseid. Supporting the story is artist Emanuela Lupacchino who creates some very lifelike panels filled with detail and emotion, not to mention a very mean childlike Darkseid. All in all, it's another impressive issue from the team as we're given another piece of the puzzle.

Action Comics #990 is a tease of bigger things to come as puppet master Zor-El continues his manipulation of his son Superman.

All in all, another exciting issue from Taylor Made and Crew!

Trinity #14 heats up for the final chapter of the Dark Trinity story as Circe attempts to make the ultimate sacrifice but somehow I doubt that Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman will stand idle. Hopefully well also see more of the magic Trinity Constantine, Zatanna and Deadman have a bigger role as well.

All in all, a sturdy issue from Orlando and team as story arc kicks into another gear in Justice League of America #17.

The team of Action Comics deliver another enjoyable read as the countdown to the Doomsday Clock and issue #1000 of Action Comics continues… but what will be the end game?

Dark Nights Metal #3 was my favourite comic of the week and although it's a two month wait until Metal #4, Batman: Lost! will provide a very adequate filler until the next instalment of this crazy adventure into the Dark Multiverse.

The Children of the Gods arc continues in spectacular fashion that definitely makes this an event story for Wonder Woman and I for one cannot wait until Diana comes face to face with Grail and perhaps even Darkseid himself.

Wow! This issue was insane and writer Sam Humphries really brings this character to life in more ways than one. More particularly, his dialogue is very easy to read and I love the head space of this incarnation of Bruce Wayne who is corrupted by the power he wields. It was also a very gruesome issue and artist Ethan Van Sciver created some very spectacular and violent panels. Im really looking forward to see more of these Dark Knights rise and if youre looking for a great read for the week, you should check out BATMAN THE DAWN BREAKER #1!

Injustice 2 is a Batman story and it's quite an impressive story as Bruce continues his efforts in keeping the world safe from madmen. The issue did raise a lot more questions and I'm eager to see what role (if any) Alfred will play, will the President be safe and how will Batman's wildcard Blue Beetle play into the story.

Superman #31 and #32 were a filler but an enjoyable that did give us a breather until Imperius Lex and the New Gods return!

Probably one of the most original Superman stories for awhile, I'm eager to see how Dan Jurgens plays this all out and I know there's going to be plenty more twists, questions and answers to be found along the way. Given that, this issue provided more questions then answers!

Although not the greatest issue in the series, Blue Beetle #13 serves as a nice handover to the new creative team and for fans of Justice League 3001, it gives them a little closure. All in all, it was a fun issue with some clever dialogue and great art from Mr Scott Kollins.

Justice League of America #15 continues the Ray Palmer Atom story and once it is all over, I really hope that Ray is here for good and becomes an interactive mentor of Ryan Choi within the Justice League of America. It's definitely an issue for Ray Palmer fans and it's fun read about the ‘missing' Silver Age Atom.

Welcome back to DC Comics James and your return marks a stellar beginning for Wonder Woman that I for one cannot wait to see where and how it unfolds. Your partner in artistic crime Carlo Pagulayan also captures the wonder and majesty of Wonder Woman with some brilliant panels, splash pages and action sequences that makes the next chapter of Wonder Woman a very captivating one and more importantly, very enjoyable. Hopefully with James back, let's hope he continues on Wonder Woman (I never thought he would write her) for awhile and also be offered a more classical Justice Society of write!

Injustice 2 #10 continues building towards something big and the creative team deliver another strong issue about this twisted yet familiar world… and when Injustice 2 ends, can Tom Taylor and Juan Albaran please write a mainstream DC Comic? Pretty please DC!

In the end, Trinity #13 is a fun read that although doesnt change the status quo of the DCU, it does create a very enjoyable story.

Action Comics #987 was a mindblown moment for me and Dan and his creative team really delivered an exceptional issue and I for one cannot wait to see where all this goes!

Holy Caped Crusader! This series just keeps getting better and better and Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo once again deliver their A-game as the twists, turns and unexpectedness of Dark Nights Metal continues to go where no DC Comic has gone before. This series is a crisis and although not dubbed as an official DCU Crisis, it definitely is and now it's time for the rest of the DCU to become involved!

Complimenting the story is the brilliant art of Ivan Reis who successfully pays homage to these characters and gives them his own touches to help bring them to life. Then you have the one armed Lobo fighting machine which is beyond cool and a fun highlight.

All in all, Injustice 2 #9 hits the mark again and Taylor really captures the characters well, even though some have been corrupted over the years. The series also has this JLA: The Nail feel to it, however Taylor makes this universe his own and does it really well. Then you have the excellent art of Daniel Sampere who creates dynamic panels that really explode, including characters filled with emotion and realism. He also draws some very mean action scenes that channels that Hollywood blockbuster feel. However what I enjoyed about Injustice 2 is the unexpectedness as nothing is predictable and that my friends is where this comic shines above all else!

All in all Superman #30 was a fun issue and Keith Champagne captured the characters well, even though it was more a Green Lantern issue. Nonetheless, the dialogue was spot on and if either creative teams leave, Keith would make a great substitute on both series. The art was like a summer blockbuster comic event and Ed Benes drew some excellent life-like and dynamic panels. As with Keith, Ed would also make a great substitute on either series as well, so kudos to them both!

This is classic Justice League in the 21st century and with just a few issues in, I really cant wait to see where it will all end as the ‘Crisis' in the Microverse continues.

Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and Scott Kollins are just about to kick their final goal and I for one cant wait to see where it lands!

Writer Benjamin Percy and artist Juan Ferreyra kick another goal with this current issue of Green Arrow and was probably my favourite comic of the week. It's definitely an interesting look into Green Arrow and I loved that he had the chance to play in the city of Gotham, while the Batman watches on! Great stuff guys!

Injustice 2 is a true rollercoaster ride thats getting more and more insane and although you want it to finish, you also want it to go on a little longer and if Taylors past work is any indication, the play-off is going be big and more importantly, a killer conclusion!

Superman #29 hits all the right notes and delivers an enjoyable issue of Superman vs Parallax. I'm really eager to see how this story pans out, especially a Parallax possessed Superman!

All in all, Dark Destiny is off to a magical start and I for one cannot wait to see how this spell unfolds!

In conclusion, Action Comics #985 is a fun Superman story and never having read about the Machinist before, I'm eager to see the direction of this fill-in creative team.

If I had to choose one comic series only to read, it would probably be Injustice 2 as Tom Taylor and crew go into overdrive!

Superman #28 serves as another history lesson for the reader before the Man of Steel comes face to face with Parallax!

Part 3 Hard Travelling hero is definite my favourite issue so far and it was great seeing Ollie go up against Lex Luthor which was kind of unexpected. Furthermore, writer Benjamin Percy creates a very compelling chapter of this arc with some engaging dialogue and interesting plot moments, particularly with the mass suicide of Lex employees. Complementing the story is the ever so perfect art of Juan Ferreyra who captures the essence of all the characters and I love how he's given Metropolis this almost heavenly glow.

Action Comics 984 started spectacularly and ended in the same manner! It's Superman and his world at his best and more importantly, it opens up the mythology of the Man of Steel even more" highly recommended!

Wow Dan Jurgens continues to hit the superman ball out of the park and issue 983 of Action Comics is another example of why the post-rebirth Superman is such an awesome character. Its great that DC have finally put this character on the pedestal it deserves as Jurgens continue exploring the psyche surrounding this iconic comic book character. Add in the excellent art of Bogdanovic and Action Comics should definitely be on your standing order.

Given that the Kingbutcher is tool for the Lord of the Orders, I sincerely hope that we see the other famous Lord of Order, Doctor Fate in this arc but even if we don't, I'm sure Steve will deliver another riveting story and so far CURSE OF THE KINGBUTCHER is off to a great start!

I really enjoyed this issue and although it was relatively short, writer Dan Abnett successfully brought the Justice League to life with all the big players from the DC Universe. The characters were written well and there were some strong scenes between Superman, Wonder Woman and Mera. Add in the realistic art of Ian Churchill filled with dynamic poses and emotion and I for one would love to see this team take over the Justice League in the future.

Wow! What an issue! It's another fine example of why Tom Taylor is the master of the Injustice universe as he successfully pays homage to a simpler time but then turns up the edginess to 10.

In the end, Superman #26 is a filler but it's actually an interesting one that cements the relationship between Clark and his son Jon with a story filled with wholesome family values. The dialogue works well and Moreci should be commended on bringing these two characters to life. Add in the excellent art from Scott Godlewski and Superman #26 serves as a nice breather until the next story, Super-Vacation!

In conclusion, Batman '66 meets Wonder Woman '77 was truly a fun read and although it was more a Batman eccentric story, the writers captured the essence of all the characters involved and had the Batman series continued on TV, you could easily imagine this as a crossover with the world's favourite Amazonian princess.

All in all, it's another engaging and entertaining issue by all involved!

The Hellblazer #11 continues expanding the mystery to the ready but rather slowly!

All in all, another fun issues from Orlando and Watanabe who are definitely making this the premier Justice League comic at the moment!

Injustice 2 #4 is beautifully illustrated by Daniel Sampere who really captures the soul of the DC Universe and even though this is not the world we all know and love, it's familiar yet equally disturbing. Writer Tom Taylor also excels at bringing these characters to life and really gets inside their heads.

The Martian Manhunter / Marvin the Martian Special #1 is a fun read that offers two very distinct stories that channel their respective universes well. With detailed illustrations and colours that pop, Martian Manhunter / Marvin the Martian Special #1 is definitely a fun read for fans of both these characters!

Wow Dark Days The Forge #1 is a perfect way to start the next DC Comics blockbuster which is filled with cameos galore such as the Outsiders, Black Hawks, The Immortal Men and even a glimpse of the lives of Hawkman. Its also a well-written book with James T Tynion IV and Scott Snyder really capturing the essence of the characters well, not to mention giving the reader plenty of questions as well. Complementing the story is the excellent artwork by Jim Lee, Various, John Romita, Jr. and Andy Kubert which captures the world of DC Comics and helps lay the foundation for some very interesting things to come!

Wonder Woman #24 is a satisfying conclusion the Godwatch story line with some great character moments and exceptional art. It will be sad that Greg Rucka is leaving Wonder Woman but its also exciting on where the new direction will take us. All in all, it's a strong issue from Rucka and co!
