In conclusion this is a great issue and an even greater love story. Often with annuals people tend to overlook them and don’t view them as important, but this annual is both crucial and a really fun read.

In conclusion, both the writers and the artists did an unbelievable job with this issue. I would recommend re-reading it a few times as I had to read it again to fully understand the scope, but what Snyder and others are doing with Metal and especially Batman Lost is definitely building on a lot of Morrison’s stuff and blowing the Bat-verse wide open.

This is honestly on of my favorite issue of the entire series. Snyder and co. do manage to keep up the excitement for Metal with this issue, which is needed since issue 6 does feel so far away. As far as we know issue 6 is the last issue and there is no omega issue or epilogue issue, and I hope that Snyder and Capullo haven’t stretch themselves too thin. One hope coming out of this series is that we do get to see a lot of these characters that have been introduced back into the DC Universe, to actually play a part in the wider DC Universe and not be forgotten.

In conclusion, the first issue of Ragman is really solid. Not only does it present the reader with a mystery, but also shows us the effects of going off to war. Fawkes makes Rory a sympathetic character and makes the Ragman identity wholly interesting.

In conclusion this issue for me is another strong addition, to a really good book, which has a premise that is intriguing and I am continuously wondering, where the book will progress. It’s great to see that DC’s young animal line is still going strong.

In conclusion, not much to add that I haven’t already said, except go out and buy this book and the previous books that lead up to this. I am excited for the next issue as nightwing will be teaming up with Superman.

Overall this issue was really one of the best yet in this arc, with the art still being really good. My only complaint is Seeley trying to make Dick in a couple, with anyone other than Barbara Gordon as it just feels right. The last page is a tease for the next arc and if it is what I think it is, I’m really excited.

Overall really enjoyed this issue and this is a great pay build up to the final issues of this arc. Lobdell’s Red Hood has been strong since the start and it continues that trend. Peter Woods art is also fantastic. I’m eagerly awaiting the next issue.

Overall, I would say that the issue was really enjoyable and I look forward to see how Lobdell incorporates both Bunker and Wingman into the current series.

In summary Teen Titans #2 is another solid issue, to this already great run, which is really bringing the Teen Titans back to their fun roots. The banter between the team does help, and the importance at the end of being together, shows that this team could grow to be a famous teen titans team. I’m really enjoying the book so far and looking forward to how it continues.

The art remains to be really good in this book, and not just this book, but most DC Rebirth books have really good art. However the vibrant use of colours makes the pages come alive. How the Titans will defeat Ra’s and his students is something I’m really wondering.

With three writers it is easy to think that too many cooks would spoil the broth, but I have to honestly say that the crossover feels really balanced. It feels as if the writers are using each issue to focus on one theme each. In the first issue it was really about rebirth and bringing things back and with this one it is trust. As long as they keep this up it could be really effective and make for a great crossover.

This issue was really strong and really enjoyable. It also features the obscure villain Onomatopoeia, which is really cool to see him pop up, and he has a great plan. As long as Percy continues to focus more on the intimate moments between characters, I think his Teen Titans series could be really great.

In conclusion Johns writes a really strong first issue and Frank’s artwork is incredible. The artwork isn’t similar to that of Gibbons but uses the nine panel grid structure and builds dark and dreary world perfectly. It is easy to see why Johns wanted Frank on this book. The issue is both enjoyable and interesting, and the world he built just begs to be explored. He does introduce new characters which definitely could throw a spanner in the works, but also introduces us to characters from the original series, some the same and some different. This is a book worth picking up.

In conclusion, this is another strong issue by the creative team on this book. One aspect that even elevates this book is the use of the newspaper articles at the end as a narrative device which gives some context for the DC and Watchmen Universe. The series is only improving and I can’t wait for the next issue.

The strength of this issue in particular is the interactions between all the characters. The voices are in character and further expand the current universe that Johns is creating. The regular shift between characters, keeps the issue feeling fresh and interesting. Johns and Frank are really crafting an interesting story, that I can’t wait to continue to read.

Overall another really solid issue with phenomenal art. Every time I read an issue of this series I cannot wait for the next issue to be released and hints at new potential dangers for the DC Universe.

I have to say that this is probably one of the best issues so far. It gives the readers what they wanted in terms of there being a fight between Dr Manhatten and the DC Universe, but it also propels the many Superman Theory story forward as well. Gary Frank’s art is phenomenal in this issue and I do think that it makes it well worth the wait.

This was another strong issue, however I would say that it was a dip from last issue, but to be honest with you that is expected in the middle of an arc, and this got us hyped up definitely for the next issue. The art is some of the best we have seen in this series and is so reminiscent of Ivan Reis’s style in Multiversity.

In conclusion, this issue is a great issue in a long line of great issues. There is still a lot of the mystery aspect that I have left out, so you can pick it up. If you are someone who is not necessarily a Superman fan, this series will definitely make you into one. I would recommend starting all the way from the first issue and catching up, as the series really highlights the great aspects of the character of Superman.

In conclusion, readers receive what they have come to expect from this creative team, stories that have a good plot but also have heart and this is still one of my favorite DC Rebirth books as Tomasi and Gleeson, don’t only focus just on Superman but his family. This really elevates the book in my honest opinion.

I really liked how they also decided to role in the potential/current love interests into this arc as well. It really gives a sense of continuity and connectivity in this universe. I just really wonder how 4 people with no powers and 1 metahuman can take on a character that has almost every power under the sun. I’m really excited how the Bensons plan to resolve this.

In conclusion, this was a really good issue with good art and is also a promising start. If the series doesn’t lose focus on what is set up in this issue then it could really be a cornerstone in Duke’s history and could actually cause the character to be more interesting but feel like his own character.

The Jetsons back-up was interesting, as well, even though I am not familiar with the Jetsons at all. It was basically a story about euthanasia, but done in a really cool futuristic way, which I don't want to spoil. I personally always think they should just be fun, well-written stories and both of these stories do really deliver.

In conclusion, it was a solid first issue, which only really suffers from a confusing beginning. Neal Adams also does the art, and although slightly dated it is still well done. I’m really intrigued to see how this story will continue.

In conclusion this was a really stong issue and one of the strongest in a while. With the announcement of No Justice, hopefully this book could potentially return back to bi-monthly as I feel that it going monthly has hurt it. Hopefully this issue is a sign for better times in the future.

Tynion really broke down the Bat-family in this story arc, and it was done really well. Typically with superhero comics we always know the good guys are gonna win, somehow, and what really matters is the stakes. At the end we are definitely shown that the stakes are high.

In conclusion Injustice 2 Year One is definitely off to a solid start. In previous years we have had a themed years such as Magic or gods and this year it seems to be the Suicide Squad which is definitely different. My only real complaint is that the issue isn't longer as I am really interested in how things will progress.

In conclusion another solid issue by Tom Taylor, and an issue I would defienetly recommend everyone who is invested in the injustice universe to get. The art by Bruno Redondo is still really good as well. I’m happy Injustice 2 is off to a good start.

In my opinion I would say that it is a weaker issue than the first 2 issues, but definitely nowhere near a bad issue. The series so far is still as interesting as the first series and after the current ending I’m wondering where the book will move to next.

This issue is another great issue, and by now we shouldn’t even be surprised. Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo, set up the world of Injustice in both a believable but spectacular way.

As we have come to expect from this creative team, it was another strong issue in which the main story is really ramping up. I find it so interesting to see how it all leads up to the game.

In conclusion, this is what I would unofficially call the rap up to the first arc. We have the Suicide Squad and League of Assassins, acting as opposition to Batman which is an unexplored idea, especially with Batman’s team as crippled as they are. Hopefully the next arc focuses a bit more on building up Batman’s team.

At this point it seems redundant to say how great this series is each week as it constantly seems to churn out good issues. It is really great that Tom Taylor was able to return, after he left for 2 years although those 2 years were good as well. However, it does seem great to return to familiarity.

I would have to say this is one of the weakest issues yet. Not because it is a necessarily bad story, but because it does little to contribute to the story except for the last bit. The last bit has a moment where Batman seems to want to inject Connor, Green Arrow and Black Canary’s son, which seems weird. However that isn’t out of character with this universe as people often do things that you wouldn’t necessarily expect them to do. Still this could be something new and different.

This was another good issue and was the real first step to mirror the game a bit more. It also goes away from the whole Ra’s Al Gul plot and throws a spanner in the works as Black Adam finds her ship. Hopefully we will see that storyline progress a bit more.

In conclusion this is one of the strongest issues yet, of all of Hitch’s Justice League. This actually seems like a coincidence since a lot of DC’s books this week in my opinion were some of the best of the series. One aspect that is interesting was the secret that seemed to be kept between the 3 ‘watchers’. Hopefully this issue shows a real turn in the series.

Justice League #17 is a really great book, that is setting up an epic storyline, that so far is Hitch’s best storyline yet. Hopefully the arcs following it will also be as great as this and of this high caliber. If it does you could be looking at a pretty good run on Justice League.

Dan Abnett has been killing it on Aquaman lately so I’m confident that this miniseries will be really good. He has been writing Mera, who is one of my favorite female characters, really well and she definitely adds to the series. Although the issue is mostly recap and set up, the art is beautiful and the story seems to just be beginning.

In conclusion, it was a really strong crossover overall. Even the aftermath of this crossover does show that these 3 books will not be the same ever again. It will be really interesting to see how writers progress these new ideas.

I have been loving the main Wildstorm series, so was wondering if this new series would hold a candle to the main series. In all honesty, it does. The book is well-written and paced and the initial premise that is set up is really interesting.

I’m still really enjoying this book and really would love more people to read it as it is as strong as the main series, although the art regarding faces waas not always strong. One thing I’m dreading is that it only has 12 issues as I would love it to have so much more as the very idea of distorted heroes is interesting.

In conclusion Dark Knights Metal #3 is not a bad issue, but a necessary one. The book although slowed down in pace does have cool cameos by Detective Chimp and Nightmaster, and is still a really solid event.

With all my praise for how new challenges are introduced it does have me concerned as Metal is coming close to the conclusion and it does feel that Scott Snyder may be introducing too many big concepts, too late in the stage. One criticism of a lot of events is that writers focus on set-up that the conclusion is often weak and I hope that this isn’t the case.

In this review I purposely did want to leave a lot of specific details out, so that you pick up the issue as it is a really good issue. One criticism I would say is that although Capullo’s art is good for the most part, I do think there does need to be more detail in his background characters. I feel Metal has been strong overall from start to finish and I am really hoping that it doesn’t fumble that near the end.

With this review, I have tried to keep it spoiler-free so that readers can read Metal #6 and experience it for themselves. There are a lot of really cool moments and the conclusion finishes strong. As for the ramifications in the epilogue it really makes me excited for both No Justice and what Snyder, Tynion, Williamson and everyone else plans for the Justice League.

Overall, I really liked this issue and I cannot wait to read the next issue and see how Snyder gets the justice league to defeat the legion of doom. The art by Jimenez was fantastic and really proves why he is considered to be a superstar artist. With the source wall breaking it’s interesting how Snyder is trying to expand not only the justice league mythos but the individual mythos of each character.

This was a really good issue by James Tynion, which by now is expected as his work is generally fantastic. I liked how Tynion uses previous themes introduced in both No Justice and the first four issues of Snyder’s Justice League. Mahnke’s art was phenomenal and adds to the superstar line-up of artists so far.

In conclusion, this issue and the arc so far have been really good. One of the aspects that I really enjoyed is that, at the end the team feels broken. Even though this isn’t the end and the team feels like they have won, there are repercussions, such as Batman’s bones being broken, Barry being affected by the still force and John Stewart becoming an ultra violet lantern. So far, this run is looking to be great.

The most interesting discussion is the one between Batman and Superman. Superman is up in space trying to fix the moon that the Justice League broke a few issues back. Syder uses the moon as a metaphor of the Justice League. Batman wants the Justice League to change and improve and make themselves darker, and he also wants Superman to allow him to improve the moon and turn it into a death star basically. Superman reminds him in both cases that they shouldn’t change the core of who they are even if the world is changing around them. This shows that Snyder understands truly what the league are meant to represent as beacons of hope.

Whilst the story is interesting it seems that when writers want to write team books, there is often an over-dependence on alien invasion storylines. This is Snyder’s second arc but is also the second alien invasion or attack on planet that we have encountered. Manapaul’s artwork is fantastic, especially in his design of the backgrounds and also the monsters. Whilst I enjoyed it, I would hope that in future arcs Snyder doesn’t rely on this common trope.

In conclusion Deathstroke #6 is still a good issue, as it does show us what Priest has been trying to say since the first issue, the message that Deathstroke is a villain and is good at what he does, this is even emphasized more in this issue, in the conversation between Red Lion and the assassin. Even the complaints I’ve given is because of the fact that we have not yet seen the next issue, and it may fix my complaints. I would still say pick up this book and pick up the previous one as this is still one heck of a series.

Finally, the issue sets up for the next issue, where Superman and Deathstroke are meant to fight. I’m really looking forward to that issue, although at the start of this issue, it heavily implies who wins. As much as I do praise Priest’s writing that element of time-skipping is something that here I wouldn’t want to be spoiled for me. However we will see, and I continue to enjoy where this title is continuing on.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend getting the trade of this if you are unsure. Priest has been telling an amazing story and this is probably one of the best DC rebirth titles out there. The fact that it had both Superman and Batman in it, was cool to see as well and they were used in interesting ways.

This issue of Deathstroke was really another great issue as this issue really focuses on letting us know what makes Slade’s family tick. Whether it’s how they got their powers, family or seeing Slade at a young age. I also can’t wait for the next issue as it deals with Slade, trying to break out of prison.

In summary another solid edition, especially for a one-shot. I do wonder what people will really think about this, as it does deal with some really heavy issues, especially in the times that we are living in.

The real highlight to be honest with is seeing that Raptor is linked into it. It’s great since we are seeing a sense of communication in the DC Rebirth books, that felt like absent from the New 52, which makes it seem like you are experiencing the evolution of the DC Universe. It’s interesting to see how Raptor will cope against Deathstroke, since to me it does seem a bit mismatched in favour of Deathstroke.

In conclusion, just pick this book up. Go from issue 1 and catch up, so you don’t feel lost. It is a really great saga for the character and I think will be one of the most highly praised runs, not only for the character, but for comics as well.

In the end of the issue Deathstroke runs fast enough to go into the past and meet Grant before he died. Now what he will do with that is what we need to find out next issue.

In conclusion, it is a good start to the book and does provide an interesting mystery as we later find out that one of the kids will grow up to become Malevolence and destroy everything like we saw before.

In conclusion, the shifted focus off of the Malevolence to me was a good idea, as I never really felt that the idea was strong or really that intriguing. Instead if the book decided to focus on the students at Mystik U and their daily lives it would make for a better series in my opinion. The creative team have impressed me thus far with this series so maybe the Malevolence can be presented in an interesting way.

In conclusion Batman issue 10 really truly is a beautiful read, with an interesting story, that makes me really excited for issue 11, and how Batman will utilize, his Suicide Squad, to further get into the depths of Santa Prisca, defeat Bane and recover Psycho Pirate. However I would say the positing of words in the book, do sometimes distract from the main read.

How this arc will progress will hopefully be really strong, as it’s had such a strong beginning. Most people really want Tom King’s Batman to be so stong and it’s had a really shaky start but hopefully it will just continue strong.

In conclusion this issue is a perfect conclusion to the 3 arc epic, before the Button, and I would definitely without a doubt recommend this series highly. It has its ups and downs, but what book doesn’t, and right now provides a really new and interesting take and run on Batman. Many people wondered if Tom King would be able to write to the same or a similar standard as Scott Snyder, but with this issue I felt he really stepped out of his shadow to prove to readers why he is writing Batman.

In conclusion, although I had some minor problems with this book, it was overall really good and I highly recommend it. I have really been enjoying Williamson’s Flash run, so I do hope he can keep up with what he has been doing and the great issue that King just did. If you were not planning to read this before, I suggest you change that decision.

In conclusion, this crossover is really picking up steam and I cannot wait for it to end, in a good way. In my last review, I was really hoping that I the last two issues would pick up and issue 3 definitely did. Now we are down to the final issue which was unfortunately delayed but that only builds up the anticipation.

David Finch has really been doing good work so far in Batman, but Mikel Janin's art in this is phenomenal. It is revealed at the end that Batman did something terrible, that he had to do, to survive the War of Jokes and Riddles. So far the story has been really interesting and with this and Dark Days/Metal it is a great time to be a Batman fan, and hopefully both books would have a great story.

It is really interesting as King shows the different tactics of Joker and Riddler. Riddler seems to talk people into helping him, whilst Joker forces them, but at the end of the day they can both double-cross you. This was a weaker issue than last time, but still wasn’t bad and I am still really hyped for the War of Jokes and Riddles.

In conclusion, it does feel with this issue as if Tom King wasn’t too sure what to do. There is not even a time frame with this issue as Joker and Riddler seem to have assembled their teams already. Maybe this issue would be better if it focused on all the villains’ motivations to join either side as it just seems random, other than Poison Ivy. Hopefully this does really improve.

It was a huge move for King to get Bruce and Selina engaged, so I am really hoping that they actually go through with the marriage, as it would feel like a wasted opportunity if they break up with one another. I’m very excited for this arc, as the premise appears promising, so I’m hoping that King doesn’t drop the ball with this.

In conclusion this is a solid ending to this short arc, and also does give me hope in seeing that Tom King will handle this engagement and marriage well. Next is Batman, Selina, Superman and Lois interacting which should be really intriguing to see.

When it comes to Tom King’s Batman whenever I feel that I’m out he finds a way to bring me back in and to get excited for what is happening in the future. As long as King continues to focus on the importance of the relationship, I don’t see why the book won’t keep getting better and better.

I really enjoyed this arc and am excited for the future of their relationship. I have my fingers crossed hoping that they actually get married and it isn’t a continuous engagement.

This series has high points and low points, but I really think that the low points of the series really drag this book down so much. Whenever I feel the series is getting better and better, that excitement crashes so hard. I really hope that the following issues can regain the strength it had before.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed this issue and if this is all playing into King’s 100 issue spectacular then perhaps the run would be improving now that it has moved away from the marriage. Lee Weeks art was phenomenal, but it is what we have come to expect from his art. It should be interesting how Bruce would have to prove Batman wrong without revealing that he is Batman.

Overall, I still liked the issue, however a combination of King’s writing and Janin’s art really makes this issue feel like style over substance. Whilst I’ve been enjoying the arc so far, I feel like this issue is just padding in this arc.

Tom King’s use of the question was also a really cool idea since he is basically a conspiracy theorist, and allows the last page reveal to feel earned. Since he is a conspiracy theorist he wouldn’t accept any other answer than the one that he originally thought of. Overall I really enjoyed this issue and hope that the rest of the series continues to be great like this one.

In conclusion, I would recommend this as it does start and finish in a really intriguing way. The villain is set up well and we can empathize with the Black Lightning, as he tries to be a hero.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed this issue, and I am looking forward to the fight between Tobias Whale and Black Lightning. Hopefully DC utilizes the idea of more miniseries as their miniseries have been really strong as of late and explore less popular characters.

In conclusion, Flash #7 is the penultimate issue to the Godspeed arc, an arc that I personally have really been enjoying and cannot wait to read the final issue and see how it will wrap up.

In conclusion, this is a solid start to the new arc of the Flash, and I really cannot wait to see where all of this goes, and to see the Kid Flash, Flash relationship grow.

In conclusion I was personally expecting this arc to just bide time until the rogues, which is an arc I’m really looking forward to, but it’s been really good and Williamson’s run of the Flash shows what I and many really enjoy about the Flash.

I personally thought this was just going to be an average filler, to get to the rogues arc, which I’m really excited about, but this arc was really good and the end of the issue reveals who Barry asks out on a date.

This issue deals with Flash trying to deal with trying to find the Rogues and this gives us the opportunity to learn a bit about Captain Cold, which I’m always up for. This issue was really more of a set up for what is happening next, but one thing we do know is the Rogues do seem to mean business this time.

In conclusion this is probably the best issue yet of the Flash, and really confirms that Williamson’s run will be remembered. I do wonder how he will deal with the rogues next issue and whether we will see an appearance from Kid Flash.

In conclusion Williamson is writing one of my favourite books in all of DC and I can’t wait to see the final battle between Flash and Captain Cold and seeing what the future of the Rogue’s will actually be.

In conclusion, although it doesn’t set up The Button I would say it definitely sets up Barry finally telling Iris who he really is, and can kinda set things to be a bit more in line with the pre-flashpoint universe, where the Flash family were a lot closer together. Having said this it was still a really great issue.

In conclusion, it is not bad and is still a pretty enjoyable read. There was also a JSA teaser in the form of Johnny Thunder calling out to the lightning again, similar to the Saturn Girl teaser in the previous issue. The first half has been slow but still good overall and I hope that King and Williamson can really ramp up the story and have the great conclusion fans are expecting.

In conclusion, the creative teams on all 4 of these books really managed to pull off a really great crossover, especially with a second half that was so strong. It really does set up for the next thing that is coming and gets the reader excited for the future of the DC Universe, whilst telling its own amazing story.

The ending of the book was the strongest part of the book as we find out that both Barry and his colleague are being transferred to Iron Heights Prison. Williamson has been strong on interactions so far so seeing them work together after being transferred should be interested. Also the fact that Wally will be training Barry should be really interesting to read.

I’m really happy that now Barry no longer has the speedforce and can return to the normal Flash that we are used to. The issue does have some problems but also has some strong moments. Hopefully now we can get back to really fun Flash comics again.

This week Joshua Williamson said that Flash War was the culmination of his run, however I feel that Flash #38 really draws on everything that he has done since the first issue of his run and gives a satisfying end. This issue also sets up plenty of interesting stuff, which gets me excited for the future of the flash.

In conclusion I do think that this is a fine issue, but not a strong issue. The last issue was so strong and this issue sets up a lot of cool and interesting ideas, but I feel Williamson needs to iron out these ideas so it doesn’t feel jumbled.

Overall, I did really enjoy this issue and felt that it was a stronger issue than the start of the arc. Di Giandomenico’s art looks as good as it always those, but especially when you see Grodd’s face at the start of the issue. Di Giandomenico’s art is great for the Flash as it looks really kinetic. From where the issue left off I am excited to see how the arc will continue.

In conclusion, the issue was really a mixed bag. The art by D'Anda is fantastic but feels dragged down by the writing and plot. There is also a lot less focus on the villain in this issue, which I think hurts the overall story.

Liam Sharp’s art is amazing in this issue as the detailed backgrounds make space seem empty and full at the same time. The pairing of Morrison and Sharp is really making The Green Lantern a must read.

In conclusion, this is a strong issue by Jeff Lemire and definetly makes me more excited for what he is working on in the future. He also uses this issue to beef up Metal in a way that is even more better and exciting. Tie-ins like these are really what is causing Metal to be a really great event.

In conclusion I would say that the story was interesting, although Lex was written out of character. Another thing we get is a bit more story towards the Ching Lung mystery and I really like the direction in which it is going. I would still recommend this book highly to anyone that is even remotely interested.

I have to say another strong issue by Yang as he also introduces some new elements and players. Like how he introduced Super-man Zero and it appears that Master I-ching has some nefarious role in the government, but we are not sure how much power he really has. This definitely stands to remain one of my favorite monthly DC books.

In conclusion I thought almost all were really good and do show promise. Even the ones I wasn’t the biggest fan of, I recognize some people did, and would be interested to see all of these stories progress.

In conclusion it is still a pretty strong issue, and has a few minor problems, but definitely meets the expectations of this series and I’m really interested how these two heroes will progress.

In conclusion Titans #5 shows that this series may still have a chance to be great, and gives me greater faith. I've been loving Abnett's Aquaman, so was expecting as great of a calibre, and hopefully this is the turning point. I am looking to see the resolution in #6, and hope that Abnett doesn't drop the ball in the final issue, but for now i'm excited.

In conclusion, I would say this is a satisfying conclusion to an alright arc. I’m really enjoying Abnett’s Aquaman, so it’s a shame that this book doesn’t feel as strong as Aquaman. Hopefully after the Lazarus Contract the book only gets stronger.

I would say it was an alright issue and puts the crossover at a pretty good footing so far. Hopefully it continues to only get better and the interactions between the two teams are really great. I cannot wait to see Damian meet the Titans.

Overall, I really enjoyed the issue, and think that it is one of the best issues of the series that Abnett has done. I feel that Abnett works best when there is a few characters that he can focus on as opposed to a huge cast of characters. Hopefully this is a sign for the book only getting better.

Overall this is another solid issue of Action Comics, which is really prepping readers for the Superman Reborn Arc, but also doing some really interesting stuff itself. Jurgens’ really harkens back to that 90’s style of writing, but shows he has still got the talent to go with it.

In conclusion this series seems to really try and give Tomasi and Gleeson’s Superman a run for it’s money. This series is definitely one of the best books coming out of DC Rebirth and I hope that it continues to be strong.

In all honesty in an issue that basically acted like a zero issue for this arc it was pretty good and definitely has me really excited as Zod is being brought in. The work that Jurgens is doing with this current Superman book is really amazing and it doesn't hurt that he has had some really amazing artists and this issue is no different. This is definitely competing with the other Superman book for best Superman title.

In conclusion a solid ending to this arc. The writing and dialogue was really well done. The art was also very good. This book continues to be as strong as it was from the start and I can’t wait to continue reading.

What I am really hoping is there is a further reveal, beyond his identity that changes this classic trope and makes it more interesting. Jurgens has written a strong run so far, so I am hoping that he continues to surprise and improve the story.

Action Comics #989 does have some interesting ideas in it admittedly, but unfortunately it feels like the ideas are not fully fleshed or executed well. These things may be improved on in the next issue, but so far in the Oz effect I am finding it underwhelming, as it retraces common tropes and clichés.

In conclusion, this was a solid issue of the Oz Effect. I would even dare to say it was the strongest issue so far. One aspect I also love is how Jurgens ties Mr Oz back to the events in the first issue of this new run. As long as the book progresses like this, it could become a really great Superman story.

In conclusion, this isn’t really a great issue at all. We are not given any indication of the direction of the story. We know basically as much as we did last time and this issue does little to progress this.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed this issue and I personally think it was one of the best issues of the series so far. The mystery of Leviathan is ramping up and so far Bendis has us intrigued.

Although I said not much happenend in the final issue of the arc, I did still really enjoy it and I am personally really excited for what Bendis plans for Superman in the future.

In conclusion, this issue is really more of a set-up issue, much needed and presented in an interesting way, but nothing we haven’t seen before, regarding Jessica and Simon (except Simon’s relationship with his brother-in-law). However, it does get me really excited for how Simon and Jessica, will face off against the Phantom Lantern, and what Volthoom is planning on next.

This is another solid issue, to a great arc as Humphries tries to revoloutionaize the Green Lantern mythos and allows it to be of easy access to new readers. Although the art does suffer, for the most part it is good. One more complaint I would say is I would like a bit more Simon and Jessica characterization like in the first arc, but that is just me. I cannot wait to see how this arc ends, especially with the inclusion of Volthoom.

In conclusion, this arc is actually really going strong and as I have said before I’m interested to see how it finishes, and the role Volthoom will play in this story. One thing I am wondering as well is what will happen to Frank Leminski, whether he will keep the ring or how he will progress as a character.

This second arc has been a lot better than the first, and now we have two new storylines to explore. One regarding the red lanterns goal, and the other regarding what Volthoom has planned for Simon and Jessica.

The art was an improvement from the Phantom Lantern arc, as I really had a problem with how the faces looked, but they were a lot better this time. This was a really nice one-shot issue focusing and giving importance to something everyday people have to suffer through. I cannot wait for the next issue and arc as Batman will be teaming up with the Green Lanterns.

On the positives I would say that it does definitely give us an interesting take on Scarecrow, as it seems somehow he has gotten control of the yellow lantern light. I say light and not ring as it does not seem to look like he possesses a ring. This is particularly interesting since this idea has been entertained in both Green Lantern and in Blackest Night. So would be interesting to see how he fairs against the 2 new green lanterns.

In conclusion this was really not a great issue, other than giving Baz a bit of character progression. Usually I don’t tend to talk about art as it’s usually alright or great in most books but in this the faces looked really bad, as if the faces were overeacting, especially any face Simon made.

For me in all honesty I am really wondering, how Volthoom will come into play with the Green Lanterns adventure and really what his plan and endgame are. The next issue is about Doctor Polaris, which is really cool as it seems like DC is spreading all the villains in JL vs SS around other books, which does show that element of DC really working together.

Now I will continue to praise this series, as it is really a strong series overall, and is one of my favourite books to pull. Having said that it’s not uncommon for one issue to not be great, especially when it sets up a new arc. I would still recommend people to buy and read this series, as Sam Humphries is a really talented writer.

In conclusion, this issue made me more excited for what Tim Seeley will do with the future of the Green Lanterns. Sam Humphries relied on the Green Lantern continuity for his series, but Seeley is really creating his own mythos and both work.

In conclusion, this was a really fun issue, and a strong first issue for the start of the first arc. If Seeley can keep up the quality of this arc, it could be one of the best arcs with this characters, and could also show Seeley stepping out of Humphries shadow and making his Green Lanterns run feel definitive.

In conclusion, I hope this review has encouraged you to go out and read this new Cyborg series, as it seems with this issue and the previous ones, Semper Junior is really trying to return Cyborg to his roots whilst laying down new ones.

This issue of Cyborg was a slow issue, as it just takes time to address the community that Cyborg is surrounded around and sets up a possible addition to the Cyborg family. I am really enjoying this first arc and am really wanting to see the endgame of the robot version of Cyborg’s dad.

There is a twist in the book, which does actually make you wonder, what will happen and how will Cyborg overcome this challenge. This first arc has been really good, but it does seem slightly drawn out, and one worry I do have is that the finale may not be as good as the introduction or the journey.

In conclusion, even though I was down on this issue, hopefully Cyborg would be able to wrap up this arc really well, as it has had really strong opening issues but seems like the series is dragging itself out. With the inclusion of Beast Boy coming soon I am excited to see how Semper Jr. will progress with this book and hope that it will continue to re-capture the greatness of this character.

My only complaint with this issue is we have a case where Team Arrow, are framed at the end, although it is painfully obvious it is not them. This is a minor complaint that will no doubt be solved in the next issue, however Green Arrow was framed in the last main arc, and has to tackle the police in the next arc, it seems framing seems to be related with Olly, almost as much as the island is. However Ben Percy continues to do it in ways that it has not got stale so far, leaving much for the readers to still remain intrigued.

This issue was more of a means to an end, just to get the team to return back to Seattle in an interesting way and other than my complaint, the issue is really just alright. I have quite enjoyed all of Percy’s two parters, however I want to see a longer arc like the first one, as I really enjoyed that.

However it was cool to actually see that it was Malcom Merlyn, not his son especially since most readers also watch Arrow, so it is definitely more relevant. In conclusion, this arc has been okay, however I am really hoping we can progress beyond a struggling Oliver Queen.

I’m wondering if Roy will be a mainstay into this series, as I would like that and it would also give the series, even more of a kick. I don’t really know how this particularly story would progress, however the history really gives people a quick rundown of Roy Harper.

In conclusion this annual is good enough that it to tide you over, until next week for the other rebirth issues. It is also pretty enjoyable, and has a great family moment at the end, which makes me remember why I’m loving this current Superman run.

How it does seem Manapaul changes this usual idea, is it seems that the viruses that banded to the Justice League actually need help and to be rescued from that other alien, as opposed to it being the other way around and it seems that the alien could possibly be lying. If that is what he is actually planning then that is a really interesting twist, however so far, I have really enjoyed this arc.

In conclusion I feel that the arc started off with a strong and engaging premise, however as it continued it seemed to peter out. The idea of seeing the Trinity, the magic Trinity, the Dark Trinity and the evil Trinity interact was a cool idea but unfortunately the overall execution was poor.

Personally I felt that the issue was really fun and gave us some interactions between characters, but was a letdown story-wise and did little to tell the reader where it fit into continuity or how the characters are now familiar with one another. However even withmy criticisms of the book, I would still recommend it and the problems may be solved or developed on in future issues.

In summary I did like elements of the issue, but it doesn’t really explain anything that was set up in the first issue and doesn’t provide the reader with any new information.

Overall this is my favourite issue of the run so far and provides evidence that the run is only going to get better from here. It was also great to finally have the OG young justice characters finally meet and get back together.

Whilst I like elements of King's writing I fear that the repetitiveness on one topic, may make his writing feel stale in the long term.

Overall, I did like this issue. The story is very character focused which is really the main strongpoint of the series. The actual story itself I do find to be alright, but the story also did not move along in any major way in this issue.

I'm not a fan of Steve Orlando's writing in most cases of anything I read from him. Night of the Monster Men and JLA: Atom Rebirth were the only ones I have really enjoyed, hopefully his JLA will be better as Hitch's Justice League is also not very good.

The art is really good, especially as it shows all the different animals. I'm still wondering how this JLA team will all match-up together, however I definetly think she will be a solid addition to the team.

In conclusion this is definetly a book I would recommend for anyone who is a fan of the Atom, or someone looking for something new. This is really a great start for any new readers, who may be put off by the idea of having to know a lot to get into the character.

In conclusion even though I was lukewarm about this book at first, I do think the book itself has really improved and I am interested to see how Orlando will use Kara to defeat the Argo robots.

In conclusion, for the most part I am still really enjoying this series and would recommend it, if you were thinking of buying it. It seems the next arc with the Phantom King is being set-up which looks and sounds really interesting.

In conclusion, this issue was alright, and had some really cool cameos and appearances at the end of the book. However it feels like it is lacking the original direction and push it had in the first 2 issues.

As Jon, Lois and Jor-El continue to explore the universe, we find out the strength and power of the Superman symbol in that it is instantly recognizable and portrays its message of hope. Between Superman and Action Comics I think there is no doubt that Bendis gets and knows how to write Superman. However, Lois Lane does feel like a background character to this whole thing as she stays with Jor-el and Jon for a while and then goes back almost immediately, which makes it feel kind of pointless to have her travel with them in the first place. Over all the issue was good and Ivan Reis’s art is amazing as usual.

This hurts an already poor issue even further and doesn’t make me look forward to the future of the Superman series.

As someone who is a fan of the character this felt like a very hollow attempt at the character. I did find it entertaining but it didn't really feel like the writer got the voice of T'challa right.

The art continues to remain great, which is a positive I can give the book. Also plus this is Jimenez, was an artist before and now he is writing, and despite my criticisms, he has actually written a pretty good arc. After all my negatives at least I am excited to see how Lana will face Lena and the Bizzaro’s.

In conclusion, this was an annual, so since it isn’t really part of the main story. However it doesn’t make the case for more Batgirl and Supergirl team-ups, which is something I would really like. I did find a few cases where they had teamed up, but never for long and only at random times.
