This month's issue of MOTHER PANIC is great if you're just jumping into the series and it certainly captivates the darker tone Jody Houser is working towards. Violet's character has a lot going on with her, regarding her past, that's being unveiled in this installment.

In the end, this first issue comes off as a pretty solid first start. It's a massive project for the team, and it looks like this series may go on for quite a while. This first issue shows plenty of potential for readers to stay hooked. As similar as Undiscovered Country is to other dystopian futures, it still feels very refreshing so far. With an anticipated feature release coming out, it's a book worth picking up.

JLA/DOOM PATROL #1: an oversized issue giving us a bright meta-story that peels apart the universe as we know it. The most psychedelic DC crossover to happen yet.

BATMAN: WHITE KNIGHT #4 by Sean Murphy gives us a true White Knight as Jack Napier cleans up Gotham's streets and moves funding from Batman to the GCPD and broken down neighborhoods. Could Batman actually be the bad guy here?

New perils are emerging for everyone in Gotham. This issue brilliantly reminds us why we should always trust Batman and slaps us for even thinking otherwise.

In the end,Something is Killing the Childrenis well worth reading. It reminds me ofWytchesby James's Bat-buddy Scott Snyder and Jock. It does hold up favorably to keep readers interested in what will and can happen. Is it something to pick up monthly? If you're a suspense-horror loyal fan, then definitely. If not, the story would be excellent to take on all at once. Overall, we're eagerly awaiting the next issue that will arrive right before Halloween!

BATMAN BEYOND has a history of rehashing villains. The dull arc, "Rise of the Deamon", finally picks up and will excite readers for future issues.

This DARK NIGHTS: METAL tie-in doesn't move much forward, but it continues to hint that Hawkman plays a larger part in the series.

A story with iconic Jack Kirby creations makes this book a perfect issue for new readers. Action packed with Kirby's diverse cast of characters that some may not know about. Exhilarating from start to finish, a perfect story for Fourth World fans.

In EXIT STAGE LEFT: THE SNAGGLEPUSS CHRONICLES #1, the writer of THE FLINSTONES takes another iconic character and revolutionize him. It's 1953 and this book tackles political issues with the nuclear arms race, social issues and more! This may just be the best new series of 2018.

Overall, DKIII was more of a repetitive mess that tried to capture the essence of the original DARK KNIGHT book but missed hard. The third installment has finally ended and we're hoping that Miller will bring us backsoon.

Seeing what potentially Bruce could have become in Gotham City; it's a dark treat that keeps the pages turning.
