I had a vague idea of at least what this title might be about, but I didn't have a clue as to just how much I was going to enjoy it. Stories like this grounded in reality tend to pique more interest and as scary as it is, this is very realistic. It's a good thing we don't have to wait anywhere near 200 years for the next issue, but it should be worth waiting a month.

This was easily my favorite issue of the series so far, although I say that only being five books in. This was just such an excellent job with Anthony's character and the way that he's embracing some of the worst parts of his new place in life. I can't wait to see where it goes from here, and with no risk of being beat up to get it, everyone should be reading this.

This book gave me even more motivation to gather up the seven book series it spawned off and I fully intend to read it all soon. I truly need to see the rest of the story I got a glimpse into in thePen&Ink and more with this. Many of you get Christmas gifts for yourselves and if comics are one of those things, this book should be on your list for sure.

This was far from what I'd have expected to see going into this issue but it was a more than pleasant surprise. The way this series constantly finds more creative ways to give us a wonderful story is refreshing. Even if you have to fight your way through space villains to get this issue, it will be worth it.

I had such a high level of expectations going into this last issue and let me tell you, they were more than met. The story wrapped up just how it should have, the creativity never dropped from how it started, and I finished reading with a sense of satisfaction. I'm not sure if I want the series to come back again so I can get more or have it permanently end here to maintain integrity. Regardless of what does happen, this is one title that I cannot recommend enough to readers to buy right away.

From the very first issue that practically took me by the shirt and yanked me in, I have been very much a fan of this series. Early on, I was expecting a strong story, but I'd never have planned on it taking the very different path it did. In both the writing and the art, it is never afraid to go to some very dark corners and it makes for a killer book. I've seen some dark magical girl stuff in my time, and this sits up there as one of the darkest and the best. Anyone that has missed this has been missing a fantastic book, one that everyone should take the time to read.

With what we saw at the end of the first arc, we knew that Nate's actions had far worse consequences than he could even realize, even he even thought about it. This was such a powerful way to bring us back into the story and I am ready for more. Bring on course two, three, however many I can get, and do yourself the favor of getting your own taste of it.

I'd like to think that with Janey in her realm that it's going to be all over for Xula, but I should probably know better. I suppose that just means that we're just going to have to look forward to even more insane fights and great story. Isn't that just a shame that we have fantastic content ahead of us? Sarcasm aside, this is turning out to be one of if not the best arc yet and I can't wait to see the rest.

There are so many people that will want to grab this new title pairing up these heroes I really don't have to talk you into it. It's another great addition crossing their worlds with a cool story and cooler artwork. Whether it's by jetpowered car or skateboards in the sewers, make your way to the comic store and pick this up.

Well now we knowwhy Lila and her two companions are hunting witches with this look at her past. With that information revealed, I certainly look forward to seeing more of both past and present story unfolding. There's no shame in being overly anxious to get your hands on more Dollface, take that however you want.

This was a great follow up to some of the early events of the unusual trio, learning more of how they started out. We've still yet to see what happens with Janey and the results of finding the Necronomicon. But, that gives us all the more reason to continue buying issues, not that we needed it.

View Issue       View Full Review

I just knew that things were going to take a turn for the worst and this is certainly going to sting. It's great to see more of Lila's past, as sad as some of her history is going to be. Hopefully you don't have to deal with a lot of traffic to reach your store so that you can buy this.

Things are really starting to get good, more so than it already has been, so don't let this pass you by.

Just when it seemed like this strange new team was beginning to come together, it all falls apart. That's a good thing though in the sense of the writing and building up their characters. Secretly I'm hoping that this divide doesn't last long and they reunite sooner rather than later. No matter the number of issues it takes though, everyone should stick around hoping as each book comes out for us to buy.

Now I can totally see why we the previous issue was done the way it was. This has the potential to be a fantastic new story and I can't wait to see what happens. If you're somehow just trying out Faith, this is a really good time to jump in to the series.

This new title has a lot going for it, which isn't something you easily say from one issue. The story and certainly the art have already given us a lot to feel good about. Be it from your ATM or your personal god, go out and spend some sort of currency on this book.

View Issue       View Full Review

If you want an issue packed to the brim full of all kinds of action based artwork, this is it. The intense closer to the launch arc goes out with bang after bang, loading the pages with awesome visuals. Not only was the story here the strongest in the series yet, but so was the art.

Like so many other books I fall behind on, I'd really like to try and fill in the gaps on this one. A lot seems to have happened since volume one and it looks like a lot is ahead. Don't wait until the apocalypse to try and get this book and make sure to hold onto it until then.

View Issue       View Full Review

This latest addition to the Danger Zone is one I am already finding myself grabbed by. So much has already happened just in the first book, and the ending clearly shows more on the way. Whether you read this alone or with an imaginary friend, you absolutely need to do so.

View Issue       View Full Review

The engaging and very entertaining story for this title keeps on getting better as we go along. Somehow, there is a perfect mix of humor, action, drama and emotion filling the whole book. Don't drive like they did in this issue, but definitely get to the shop as quickly as possibly to get this.

View Issue       View Full Review

Ten issues ago I would have never expected most of what's happened but it's been a great surprise. We did get a small bit of what the end looks like in issue one, but we know there'll be some more final surprises added. Make sure you're caught up for the last one as it's bound to be as great as the rest.

I had a great time readingthese two most recent issues, and not even just for all those fun costume changes. Adding in the actual writer of the very persona of the character our hero takes on was a fantastic move. I can't wait to see how the story progresses with this new momentum and of course that mysterious ending that begs you to read on.

After the slightly slower issue we got last time, this more than made up for it. Readers would expect a lot in the first season finale, but it did itsjob extremely well. I will thirst like the Vampblades for season two, and think everyone should be hunting down the first twelve books.

View Issue       View Full Review

I liked how this book was set up as a story being told within a story, especially given what this is all about. Additionally, I really appreciated how we're being led into the grand scheme piece by piece starting with Daisy's half of the tale. You won't need to rob a bank to afford this book, which is good because it's one you'll want to buy.

Separately and together, I absolutely love both Zombie Tramp and Vampblade. Now it looks like we'll get to see them again?! This issue could have held its own without that, but this takes it to another level of awesome. Don't hesitate to grab this issue and prepare for another killer arc with these two badass women.

Janey isn't the only one who can hack and slash her way through a book's worth of artwork. This time, it's Xula shining in the art with the intense closing battles on her quest. She also proves that she can also hold your attention virtually naked the entire time, not that anyone is objecting.

View Issue       View Full Review

I couldn't be happier that we're getting a chance to read the story for these highly coveted books virtually nobody has seen. Everyone loves getting the origin story of their favorite characters and Zombie Tramp is high on that list. You'll probably never get your hands on the originals, so make sure you do with this release.

View Issue       View Full Review

So now the rest of us who never got these books originally know a bit more about why our Zombie Tramp is what she is. Seeing Xula this early on definitely makes things more interesting, especially with the timing of the ongoing books (which might not be a coincedence?) I can't wait to see the rest of this origin story as it finally gets to us and I'm sure many of you will feel the same.

Obviously, this is not the end of the conflict that Cannon decided to initiate across the world. The living weapons that are the Typhos are bound to make a big mess, with or without him. It's still fairly early on, so you won't have far to goif you grab all the issues and catch up now.

Even though this was slow to really grab my attention, by the last page it certainly managed to hold it. Now I want to know what Qora will choose to do, how that might affect those around her, and maybe how this world came to be. I have no problem waiting for the second book to learn about this, and after reading this, I don't think any others would either.

View Issue       View Full Review

While Zombie Tramp is out of the picture, we know that's only going to be temporary. Even so, this is a good time to see more of Lila and company continue their witch hunting work. No spells or crazy powers are necessary to acquire a copy of this book, so you shouldn't have any trouble doing so.

Bit by bit, we're seeing how this unusual trio are all coming into their own and together to take on evil.So far, they've had it pretty easy but I'm sure there will be some really tough fights ahead. If you can't teleport to your comic store, find a way somehow to get there and buy this issue.

This was a pretty fun start to a new Donald Duck storyline with neat fantasy aspects fused with the usual Disney-esque humor and whimsy. I'd be more likely to follow this than probably a lot of other similar books, but not exactly thirsting for more. Any fans big or small of these characters would find this to be a good candidate for purchase, others it's a toss up depending on your tastes.

View Issue       View Full Review

I thought this was going to be a little more drawn out than it ended up being, but that's not a big deal. It was a nice, even emotional ending to this piece of the storyline and I'm alright with moving onto the next. Speaking of, you should still be following these books and getting each one so you get the next issue.

I honestly wasn't sure if it was Faith just having a breakdown until the publisher summary confirmed otherwise. So, the question is, who is messing with her in this manner, and why? And howat that? Everyone will just have to do the smart thingand keep on reading this great series to find out.

View Issue       View Full Review

Although the ghost direction would have been interesting, the hologram reveal was a fun twist. The next mystery looks like it's going to be what Sidney and her new partner have planned. It will probablyhaunt you if you don't pick up this issue and the next, so make sure you do.

View Issue       View Full Review

This little break in the story arcs was a nice solo issue that didn't necessarily focus on Faith. While we may not have as much attachment to the secondary characters, they got a chance to shine more for once. I'm guessing we'll go back to the regular pace of things next, but until then you can enjoy this latest piece of series.

I love Garfield just as much as the next guy and I never complain when I can read another comic of his. Grumpy Cat, admittedly, is of little to no interest for me even as cute as her real inspiration is. I get that the pairing of them works, I just don't know that it was something I'd ever have wanted. It could produce an amusing enough story by the end but I'm personally not super eager for more.

A series filled with action hero archetypes could end up being really entertaining to explore. This approach with Anthony being thrust into that world adds that extra flair to keep it from beingtoo typical. I wouldn't jump out of a plane to get this book, but a casual drive could be worth it.

View Issue       View Full Review

So, we got a little history on Infinite Seven, and our new accidental hero showed off his skills. Now that we're all set up, the really good stuff should be up next. It's pulled me along so far, and if all goes well it won't be an accidental new series to follow.

View Issue       View Full Review

While Anthony is just getting started, he is at least showing he can sort of hold his own. He hasn't died yet, so that must say something right? We'll see how he fares going forward though. Fortunately, there's much less risk involved in picking up this book, so casually head over and buy it.

While this might just seem like another retelling of the minotaur, it looks like it's aiming to be otherwise. With the creative minds of two great video game designers behind it, that's very likely. Between that and the core topic, I think this is one that could be good to follow.

View Issue       View Full Review

After all this time apart from Robotech, this was a great way to reconnect with it. Naturally, I'll be most anxious to see all the cool robots in action, but revisiting the story in general will be fun. Hardcore Robotech fans would be the best judges of how worthy this is of reading, but even more casual fans of the series or mecha might be interested.

View Issue       View Full Review

With the focus primarily on Eve, it doesn't seem like we'll get much of the scope of our world in this mini series. That being said though, what we are getting so far is pretty decent and I'd be interested in completing it. I'd say this is a book worth taking a look at and with only 5 issues left won't put you out much.

View Issue       View Full Review

Although the fault is my own, the only "bad"thing I can say about this story is that if you aren't at least somewhat familiar you'll be lost. Even being a one shot special though, most folks may not grab it unless they know the core series anyways. Whether or not you try this out with any basis to go off of, it's a pretty neat little winter book to check out.

View Issue       View Full Review

It's interesting reading this issue individuallyafter crammingthe last half dozen together. But, as I said, we're almost getting to the conclusion and it needs to be set up. Make sure you're braced for the storm after this calm and grab this book to prepare.

View Issue       View Full Review

This was a slower issue for Vampblade, which we have to expect, but it didn't hurt the series. We still got a little fighting, some more fun suits, and it's still a great book. I love the idea of getting to choose the next season's costume, and can't wait to see what the fans decide.

View Issue       View Full Review

It was so great to get back into Vampbladealready with this next batch of issues. Even new arrivals will find themselves curious enough to grab the first volumes. Whether you're fresh or returning though, make sure you've got this awesome title in your regular reads.

There wasn't a whole lot that went on in this follow up issue besides the TSD fight and then the con guest reveal. It continues to show the struggle Katie has with the blade power and just how rampant the infestation is. I'm sure we'll start getting more idea of where this is headed, so stick with this great title and find out.

View Issue       View Full Review

Between Katie losing control over the blades and this new vamp problem, things are looking rough. On top of that, there may be a riot from the fans coming and that is equally as scary. Stay in control of your urges and make your way through the crowd to find your copy.

View Issue       View Full Review

So, this is certainly an interesting turn of events that we got in this new chapter. The con might just be over for all of them, but the action is far from over. Please, don't steal theBatmobile to get to your local store, but do out and get this issue.

View Issue       View Full Review

Perhaps I'm catching this at a bad time in the middle of the three titles that are brought together, but I had a hard time placing it with some current events. I've been eager to read this since it first got announced though, so I'm going to take it for what it is for now. Whether you're a fan of all three or just select titles that bring this squad together, it's a great ride for anyone to jump onto.

View Issue       View Full Review

I can't wait for the upcoming monster/space vamp fight that these two are up against. Janey and Katie may not be besties, but they know they need each other here. You also need to be getting every single issue of this series, it's always worth it.

View Issue       View Full Review

It was fun seeing Janey and Katie paired up for another few issues to bring the titles together again. I'm also liking that Xula is the forerunner for this latest arc while Janey is taking a literal dirt nap. Whether you're current or catching up like me, don't let either of these issues slip by you.

View Issue       View Full Review

With the exception of a few minor violent panels, the art for this issue was tame for Zombie Tramp. That doesn't mean the quality was any lesser than it usually is, just not what we're used to seeing typically. Knowing what's probably coming soon though, I'm sure the gore and fanservice will be back in no time.

View Issue       View Full Review

With how much she's been through, it's really sad that Janey is going to have to face off against Xula. I have to imagine that it's going to be an absolutely insane fight, so there's that to look forward to. Get out of your own slumber and snag this issue so you're prepared for the main event.

View Issue       View Full Review

The fighters have entered the area and the stage is set for the fight of the century. Ok, maybe that's overselling it, but the point is that we've got what should be an intense battle with very powerful characters ahead of us. I'm curious to see if Morning will actually pop in for this given her intervention so far. Whether or not she does, I'm anxious to see how this turns out, and you know you all want to get on this and see for yourselves as well.

View Issue       View Full Review

This obvious parody of time travel titles has a pretty interesting startso far. I'm not sure that I'm going to make any more effort to continue than the last arc though. Whether I take the time to do so, I'll leave it up to regular readers to continue grabbing these.

View Issue       View Full Review

This was definitely one of those instances where coming into a third installment just doesn't work. It's pretty evident that a lot of stuff has already been established that was lost on me. I'm sure this a good continuation for familiar readers, but new folks would do well to pass.

View Issue       View Full Review

The dramatic scene I was expecting did show up and it definitely did what it needed to for the story. I didn't really gain any interest for the series, but didn't lose any which I suppose is good. Whether I end up seeing more or not, I really won't complain either way.

View Issue       View Full Review

A good heist story is always fun and this was even set in a different scenario than the typical high tech modern stage. I wasn't really pulled in by the end so I can't say that I would jump right on a follow up. This could go either way depending on how it continues, so I'd give this a maybe based on the first.

View Issue       View Full Review

Going into the second issue I was looking for something to get me more into it, especially being a heist kind of tale. Nothing yet and I'm not sure that there will be in any future releases. Still hard to say, but I'm even more loosely on the fence and at risk of falling off into the no pretty soon.

View Issue       View Full Review

With this being the third arc of the series, it was naturally a challenge to go into this book. Had I read the other content, I'd probably have felt more comfortable reading it. I'm sure current fans will benefit from starting this, but newcomers should probably pass.

View Issue       View Full Review

The majority of the book was pretty good, but I honestly did not like the ending. It spent all that time building up to “I'm visible now and now I'm dead”. Other than that, this is a decent for the collection if you like this retelling series.

View Issue       View Full Review

The art for this title, like most any, had its big strengths and weaknesses alike. As a whole, the style was rough around the edges, but was never blatantly a mess. Action scenes, along with a handful of creative character designs, were probably the stronger part of the book.

View Issue       View Full Review

Unfortunately, I've never seen a single episode of Orphan Black, although I would like to eventually. That being said, I was completely lost with absolutely no basis of the apparent twist on show events. Unless you're a viewer of the show, there's honestly no point in picking up this series.

View Issue       View Full Review

It's been quite some time since I've done anything with this series and sadly not much has changed. The second book definitely helped me to not completely be disinterested, but all in all I just don't find myself as a fan of them. Once again, I'd say that this is likely only going to be worthwhile to people who like the show, but otherwise, leave it on the shelf for those folks.

View Issue       View Full Review

While I did like that it happened, the Queen's demise at the end came too soon in my opinion. I know we want to move onto these other places Alice may be going, but that felt anticlimactic. My love for Alice has me just interested enough to possibly keep going down the rabbit hole though, we'll see.

View Issue       View Full Review

Now, I'm sure for those that know the original material, this may actually make sense and be a great continuation. Anyone like me that tries to come into it now though is going to be utterly baffled at what they're reading. For obvious reasons, I'd suggest against new people picking this up and leave it up to prior readers to judge.

View Issue       View Full Review

I have to say, I wasn't expecting to open this issue and be a little underwhelmed. As I said before, I think this is a bit of a precursor to DDS starting up, but as a Vampblade issue it wasn't the greatest. I do want to see where this goes though with it perhaps giving us more about the origins of the Blades. Hopefully upcoming chapters do a bit more, because I'm not sure how interested I'd be in more of these kinds of issues.

View Issue       View Full Review

We've got Yakuza and demons, and a sought after sword which has now attached itself to Ochita. I can only guess this will turn out to be an all out struggle for survival, with the sword possiblybeing a key element. I wouldn't mind seeing a cool battle with demons, but I won't be fighting off hordes just to see the next book.

View Issue       View Full Review

Not every book that I come across is going to appeal to me of course. I'm sure there's an audience for this title and I hope that they find it. Unfortunately, I was not one of them and have to chop my way out of this title.
