Batman (2011) #23.4

Sep 27, 2013

Batman and Robin #23 (or Batman and Nightwing #23) was a really good issue and helped some readers come to terms with Damian's death. If next month's issue is anything like that, you can expect a great review. Stay tuned for more!

Batman and Robin (2011) #17

Feb 23, 2013

This month's issue of Batman and Robin didn't have any advances in plot, but that was just fine. It managed to tell threeseparatestories through the dreams of Damian, Bruce and Alfred. It had just the right amount of closure to it to say: “Hey we're done with Joker for now.” It tells readers that the next issue will start something new and, from the looks of it, great.

Batman and Robin (2011) #23.4

Sep 26, 2013

Speaking of the art, it was never bad, but wasn't anything special either. I wasn't left in awe by any of the panels, or impacted deeply by anything I saw, but in no way was the art poor. As I mentioned before, the last seven pages stood out for me (starting with the half-page image of Joanna and Croc). These pages, along with the red and green tints, made the comic feel like a horror movie, which was just the right way to tell a Killer Croc story.

Batman Incorporated (2012) #8

Feb 28, 2013

Despite the Robin-related business, the issue was very good, it was heavy in action and told the story that Morrison had started six years ago. Batman Inc. #8 is a must read for anyone and I highly recommend the entire series to anyone who hasn't read it yet. The art was great and held up to the already-high standards the series has put forth. There wasn't anything that fell short of my expectations and I hope that the series keeps up the goo work. With the much needed publicity and momentum of this issue, Batman Inc. could become a top seller.

Detective Comics (2011) #17

Feb 25, 2013

While not being terrible, it wasn't a "wow" either. Any positive remarks towards the issue are mostly for it's great art. Hopefully next month's shows readers a more serious and less "Scooby Doo" Batman.
