Batgirl (2016) #1

Jul 27, 2016

Batgirl #1 is a great start as Barbara sets off on a new journey, without losing sight of her roots. This is just the beginning and have yet to tap into the surface of what's to come but its become clear that the creative team and come up with an exciting plan for Babs that will please fans, old and new.Larson and Albuquerque seemed to be the perfect pair for a high-energentic, and positive character such as Babs. I believe we have found the perfect tempo for a Batgirl series. One thing is for sure, no matter where Barbara goes, trouble is there to greet her. I definitely plan to continuing this series. If you are a fan of Batgirl, I wouldsuggest doing the same.

Batman (2011) #41

Jun 13, 2015

Batman #41 is a great start in this new direction. This issue is fantastic. The beautiful minds of Scott Snyder andGreg Capullo have done it again. It is as if Scott Snyder listened to the readers concerns, then in this issue turned around and said, “Don't worry guys, we got this.”

Batman (2011) #42

Jul 16, 2015

Batman #42 continues to focus on the development of these characters and the new portrayal of Gotham City, post-Joker. Capullo and Snyder continue to deliver a concise story that avoids the shadows of the previous storyline. Although, Gordon's inner struggle is heavily discussed, this is clearly an issue about the Batman, no matter who wears it.

Green Lanterns #2

Jul 6, 2016

This Green Lantern series is gradually gaining momentum like a train constructed from Will Power. The concept of two heads are better than one, in this case has yet to be proven but certainly worth entertaining. This issue contains both series aspects as well as some comedic value between the duo.

Green Lanterns #7

Sep 21, 2016

Green Lanterns #7 is a nice breatherfrom the Red Dawn arc, we get some really good character moments. Between huge fist-throwing, action arcs such as Red Dawn, I've always appreciated the momentsof relief, especially when used for character development. It's nice to finally see some sort of friendship develop between Simon and Jess. These two characters are really starting to hit their stride and continue to prove their worth as a Green Lantern.

Red Hoot and The Outlaws #13 is a great issue and quite possibly one of the best series to come out of Rebirth. I would highly suggest picking this one up. An absolute must-read series!

If you are a fan of either Kitty Pryde or Star-Lord, or looking for a break from the destruction going on in majority of other Secret Wars issues out, this is worth reading. At the same time, if you do decide to skip it, you wouldn't be missing much.

Titans: Rebirth #1

Jun 15, 2016

This issue does a great job focusing on character development, by traveling from past to present we are reminded of the bond Wally shares with his peers, but more important, why Wally should never be taken from us again! Abnett provides a upbeat story, as he gradually reintroduces the importance of the relationships between the Titans.

X-Men '92 #1

Jun 27, 2015

This has been one of the most anticipated series since the announcement of Secret Wars. "X-Men '92" is an entertaining read for all, but If you grew up in the early 90's watching those Saturday morning cartoons as I did, this is a nice dose of nostalgia. Sims and Bowers brilliantly capture the personalities of the mutants 90's personas. Koblish and Milla provides a bold and energetic feel consistently throughout the issue. The masterminds behind this series have absolutely done the original show justice and even if you were to remove the animated series from the equation, this is an overall fun, quirky and entertaining issue. Highly recommend.
