Batman / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #6

May 16, 2016

Writer James Tynion IV and artist Freddie Williams deliver an epic finale to the BATMAN/TMNT crossover event. Tynion does a phenomenal job at using the characters of two separate worlds to craft a team-up that fans will surely love. Meanwhile, Williams gives us action packed panels with all the butt kicking you'd expect from the Dark Knight and the TMNT. If there's any message that can be taken away from this comic, it's that no matter how different we seem to be from one another, as long as we share the same ideals, then there's nothing we can't do together.

My overall thoughts on this issue are that the writers and artists who bring us such compelling stories like these deserve more recognition.

Batman And Robin Eternal #18

Feb 5, 2016

Overall, I liked this week's book. It hasn't strayed off its path like BATMAN ETERNAL did. BATMAN ETERNAL would take place in Gotham with Batman and then the next issue, without any warning, would switch to Saudi Arabia with Red Hood and Batgirl. Instead, BATMAN AND ROBIN ETERNAL switches between the past and present, still telling the same story and not multiple ones which eventually converge.

Batman And Robin Eternal #19

Feb 15, 2016

The art in this issue was very impressive. I can't say the same for the story, as it didn't pick up from last week. We're introduced to a story that mostly revolves around everyone trying to survive mind-controlled teen assassins. There were a lot of good fight scenes that you'll enjoying looking at. The story doesn't really progress any further than it did last week, but it's still a good read.

Do you think that Harper and Cassandra will get their own series out of this? Will Bruce return in time to uphold the mantle of Batman before this series ends? Tell us what you think in the commentsbelow and make sure to come back.

Batman And Robin Eternal #21

Feb 29, 2016

The writing was excellent. Snyder and Tynion were able to deliver an origin story that makes you think twice about how Bruce Wayne came to be Batman. The art by Daniel, Florea and Tomeu matched the tone of this story perfectly. By depicting the horrible origin story of Mother, Snyder, Tynion and Daniel come together to give a performance you won't forget.

Bloodlines #1

Apr 8, 2016

Overall, I enjoyed BLOODLINES. It's a strong alternative to the regular show runners like BATMAN and SUPERMAN.It also feels like a fresh start for DC, so hopefully it'll catch on as a regular series after the DC Rebirth reboot.

Grayson #17

Feb 29, 2016

The story was all right at best; I was hoping for a little more info as to why Helena wants Dick and Tiger dead without so much as even giving them a goodbye. I was expecting more from this team, but I'm sure the story will pick up again next month.

Harley Quinn and Her Gang Of Harleys #1

Apr 13, 2016

HARLEY QUINN AND HER GANG OF HARLEY'S is a great spin-off of HARLEY QUINN. The writing is similar in terms of satire but still delivers a good punchline. The art compliments each character by showing who they are on the outside just as much as they are on the inside.

Invincible Iron Man (2015) #5

Jan 7, 2016

My overall review of this issue is a definite thumb up for the detailed designs and witty sense of humor given to the characters. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to break into comics today or for anyone who appreciates great comic book art or witty stories.

Invincible Iron Man (2015) #6

Feb 8, 2016

The writing is phenomenal on Bendis' part. The art style had a drastic jump from last month when Marquez and Ponsor were illustrating the story. This month we have Deodato and Martin drawing our story, and honestly, I'm not that big of a fan.

IXth Generation #8

Mar 18, 2016

IX GENERATION is a story that attracts fans of sci-fi and history to the comic book world. I highly suggest that more readers who want to stray away from the common super hero market and look for something new and out of the ordinary take a look at Top Cow comics.

Justice League: Darkseid War: Special #1

Apr 10, 2016

A question that I, myself, and I'm sure tons of other fans would like to know is why Myrina had Darkseid's child? Was she forced against her will? Did she fall in love with him at some point? Hopefully, the end of the Darkseid War saga will answer this. Tell us what you think in the comments below!

Robin: Son of Batman #9

Feb 19, 2016

This issue starts off a new story arc as Damian takes a break from his year of blood retribution. We're introduced to new and old villains as well as a good friend of Robin's. The story ties in well with the Batman universe and brings Damian back to his roots. The art is glorious and shows us Gotham's true colors.

Robin: Son of Batman #11

Apr 21, 2016

My overall thoughts on this comic were that while it was okay, I was kind of expecting a little more. With DC's soft reboot of the franchise only a month away, I guesstimate that there will probably be about 1 or 2 more issues left in the ROBIN SON OF BATMAN series. Tell us your thoughts on these writers and artists.

Strayer #1

Mar 4, 2016

A story that's sure to keep you wanting more, STRAYER brings action and adventure to a world where all hope seems lost. The story is a bit tough to get into at first, but a quarter of the way through, things surely pick up. The artist on this comic is one that draws clearly and smoothly so that we get a good understanding of what's going on, even if the story may seem confusing at first. With art that will leave you begging for more, you won't want to miss out on this comic.

Superman / Wonder Woman (2013) #28

Apr 30, 2016

The biggest question that I find myself asking after reading this issue is whether or not DC will choose to kill off Superman. I don't think they will since the reboot of the series is only a few months away. It would be pointlessto kill him off when fans know that he's going to be back in a few months. What do you think? Tell us in the comments below!

The Legend of Wonder Woman #22

Apr 15, 2016

This may not have been the best issue story-wise, but it definitely has some great art. If you're the type of person that picks comics up for the art, then I suggest giving this one a look. Despite this issue's storyline divergence, I'm willing to give the next one a try, mostly because I'd like to see a Wonder Woman fight drawn by these two.
