Blood & Gourd #1

Jun 13, 2015

Blood & Gourdissue #1 is disturbingly fun from beginning to end, and it is only the first issue! I'd recommend it to just about anyone who can stomach some blood and viciously killer pumpkins. I would not recommend it to people who would like to enjoy pumpkin patches ever again (I'm kidding " sort of). Altogether,Blood & Gourd is worth its weight in pumpkin guts and deserves to be on your shelf. You can claim your copy on FACEBOOK, through the publisher's WEBSITE, or keep an eye out for the various conventions theBlood & Gourd crew are planning to attend.

Blood & Gourd #2

Aug 10, 2016

Blood & Gourd is everything I have ever loved about indie comics and the creative team has carved out a place for themselves which is set apart from the majority of mainstream comics today. The ability to explore the human condition in full color, while also giving the reader a hilariously ridiculous scenario of a favorite holiday symbol coming back to get its revenge goes to demonstrate the freedom indie creators have to go beyond the status quo and try something new. It is a one of a kind comic series, and I cannot recommend picking up a copy of Blood & Gourd issue #2 enough.

Bravest Warriors #1

Sep 11, 2014

He writes toward children, but managed to make me stop and think about how such simple concepts still hold so much truth even in adult life. It was a great read and I'm looking forward to issue two!

Butterfly #1

Sep 24, 2014

In the end,Butterfly #1 gets three out of five stars. It is definitely worth reading and managed to keep me engaged with the material, but there were some rough bumps along the way that took away from the readability. I'll certainly pick up the second issue though, especially after the big reveal in the second half of this issue. Though it lacked a bit in flow,Butterfly #1 made up for its faults in the over-all story line and tempo.

Butterfly #2

Apr 3, 2015

However, even with all the character building the plot moved forward. I'll leave it to you to read it and get the dirty details. Needless to say, the story slowed to review the past and then quickly picked up the pace again to thrust it forward into the future. All in all, great read, and I look forward to the next issue.

Poser #1

Jun 7, 2018

The art and colors support the overall tone of the issue: gritty, with edges. If you like horror, you'll love this issue, particularly if you enjoy the sort of horror that plays in the gray and makes you wonder who the bad guys really are.
