“Afterlife With Archie” #5 concludes on a riveting finale, making readers anxious for the next story arc. I can' wait to see what happens next in the “Afterlife With Archie” series as Sabrina The Teenage Witch returns.

This has been such an amazing comic book to follow. From the first issue, I could have never imagined wed end up here. I should have known though, because Maberry is a genius storyteller. Enjoy, kids. Its damn good. This… this is us winning.

The artwork remains a consistent bonus throughout the issue, as Isaacs brings Gage and Brendons narrative to visual signification with the help of Jacksons palette of strong colours. There are many things to love and praise about the interior art of Issue #3. Its emotive, dynamic, and thoroughly engaging, from the busy action panels to the quiet introspective moments. The spot-on character design for Dracula, the action at the ruins of the Sutro Baths, as well as Buffy and Willows kidnapping quest through the streets of San Francisco, are just a few personal highlights. Isaacs and Jacksons individual contributions and styles of art complement each others impressive work, and they along with Brendon seem to be a perfect match for Gages Buffy Season 10.

I wish good things for this comic, I want it to grab ahold of the genres it is toying with and play to their strengths. I want it to make me think. I want it to give me chills. And maybe it will in the future. But for now, Ill have to be content with its simplistic and dry storyline.

“Dream Police” #1 is an interesting introduction to readers and establishes its surreal concept very well. This is a police procedural with a cool twist, but it needs a big bad threat to take it to the top.

In the end, this series feels too neat for my taste. Any characters or storylines that would take deeper exploration are cut short or eliminated. While there is a lot about the arc that worksfantastic art, some interesting social commentary, and loads of actionthe overall product left me wanting.

I love that Legendary is making efforts to produce movie prequels, but something needs to change. This book is plagued by the same problems that the “Pacific Rim” prequel graphic novel suffered from: lazy storytelling and rushed art. While I hope Legendary continues publishing film-related material, they need to be handled with more care if they expect comics fans to continue supporting them.

Really a fantastic issue, it comes and goes fast but its layout makes it feel like its own little story arc. Hopefully future issues really start to tie Hellboy back into the grand scheme of things.

While I have never read a single issue of Invincible prior to this, I will definitely be reading more. The book mostly delivers on what it promises: a new, bloody start for the series. Lets just hope Im not entirely lost by the end of this arc.

“Lazarus” #8 is an action-packed romp that doesn't slow down. I can't wait to see what happens in the next issue.

Ryall is no stranger to writing about aliens or destruction. His resume speaks for itself. For me, his work has been really hit-or-miss. I really enjoyed his work during the Infestation cross-over. His other book, The Colonized, didnt do much for me. To me, it feels like hes trying to craft a fairy-tale story where baby Martians and blind little girls get into mischief. Unfortunately, there wasnt too much mischief to be had in this first chapter. It seems to teeter in the middle and doesnt know what it is yet. I hope that this story gets more comical or dark next month.

Theoretically, this comic is outstanding. The concept of mixing fictions greatest horror icon with realitys greatest horror mystery is absolutely superb. It wasnt until this final issue, however, that I saw how the execution of this plot was just as outstanding as the theoretical concept. Its not just about mixing fiction and reality. Its about using fiction to explain reality.

I think “MPH” #1 is on a good pace to show us a how much trouble and fun a minor thug can get into with major super speed. While the pace started slowly, I imagine thats the plan. I predict this series will pick up momentum and hopefully finish well.

Kicking off to a great start, “Original Sin” #1 sets the stage for a riveting thriller. There's just something cool about The Punisher, Wolverine, and Captain America playing detectives in a murder myserty.

“Revival” #20 delivers a puzzling murder mystery that keeps readers guessing. The next installment of “Revival” looks promising because the story seems to be moving to a new setting.

Despite the slow start, I am rather excited for this series to get rolling with some Lovecraftian goodness that is promised at the end of this issue. And anyone that knows Manning knows Great Cthulhu is never far off.

As Aguirre-Sacasa states in his letter at the back of the issue, it would have been easy to spin a new Sabrina tale out of the "Afterlife with Archie" series, but in developing a completely new, dreary world, it is all the more impressive, satisfying, and devilish.

Though I found the art left me wanting the story itself is very strong and gives some good action while keeping a degree of mystery around the witcher to make me come back for more.

Although this is the final chapter of Book One, its not at all anticlimactic. Its full of hooks for the future. Creators Johnston and Mitten have really just scratched the surface of this tale. This world seems to have all kinds of themes/genres running around together. Im fascinated to see how they will play collectively in Book Two starting in July 2014.

“Velvet” #5 closes on a shocking plot twist that gets readers excited for the next issue. If you're a huge fan of espionage thrillers, you're definitely going to enjoy the “Velvet” series.
