Aladdin: Legacy of the Lost issue 2 of 3 #1

Mar 14, 2011

All in all the comic is pretty good, its a different take on a traditional story, but I thin it works well in this day and age. We have a more compelling cast and a lot more opportunities for action and suspense. Not knowing the other 2 issues makes it difficult to truly understand the context of his piece, but its good for what it is. Your local comic book store may have it, but you can also buy it online and download it too.

Doctor Who: A Fairytale Life #1

May 5, 2011

All in all, it's a charming comic book, in some ways it's not really a big leap from the kind of thing that Doctor Who normally does. Even if you're unfamiliar with Doctor Who, you would like this comic if you like light hearted humour and if you are not big into violence. The violence in Doctor Who is ever so slight, making it appropriate for most ages.

G. I. Joe: Cobra Command #12

May 12, 2012

Overall I give the issue a good rating. This issues is more of a stop gap between the big things that are about to happen next, but I think its set the tone for future issues nicely. I give the issue some good marks, but not great ones.

G.I. Joe Vol. 2 #17

Sep 6, 2012

To wrap up, cool use of bringing in the Flagg, Snake-Eyes as the enemy is ridiculous, Helix and Scarlett are attractive women and finally Cutter should have red hair.

G.I. Joe: Cobra Civil War #0

May 4, 2011

All in all I think the comic was good, but not fantastic, then again this was just to give us a taste of what's to come. I would recommend everybody who likes G.I. JOE to go out and buy it and start reading it. You probably don't need a lot of backstory to really understand this series, if you're not familiar with G.I. JOE I would recommend getting your hands on the paperback versions of IDW's G.I. JOE.

Graylight #1

Dec 31, 2010

Graylight had great artwork, which I have come to expect from Nowak, but her story writing still needs some work. The question I ask myself, is what do we want the reader to come away with from reading this story? For this story my mind drew a blank.

Jeremiah Omnibus 1 #1

May 5, 2012

Other than these minor details, the stories are woven quite well. The artwork has fantastic detail in it too. There are many scenes where sweaty faces are depicted quite well. Kurdy's freckles are frequently visible as are the lines of people's faces. Those familiar with my reviews know I am a sucker for the little details. Let's face it too this was all done by hand, no fancy computers helped out here. The general look of the artwork stands between real and cartoonish, leaning more towards real. There's a gritty sense to the artwork as well and considering the setting that's to be expected. If you get a chance to grab these books, do so. This is a classic piece of work that feels familiar and doesn't feel dated like many old science fiction stories do.

Star Trek: The Next Generation / Doctor Who: Assimilation² #4

Sep 8, 2012

Overall the comic is worth getting if you like either Doctor Who or Star Trek and if you like both then even better. The Story is interesting and definitely unique. It leaves a lot of mystery in the air as to what's going to happen next making the reader want to get the next issue.
