All-New Ghost Rider #12

Mar 26, 2015

Felipe Smith kills it on the art, conveying the struggle all his characters are going through and Kris Anka slides perfectly into this book with his pages. Sadly, the comic is ending with this issue, but this isn't the end of Robbie Reyes. Robbie and the other Ghost Riders have been confirmed for their own Secret Wars tie-in book, called Ghost Racers! Right now is a perfect time to get into the All-New Ghost Rider, the first trade is available right now and collects the first arc.

Injection #1

May 14, 2015

Overall, this is a very good first issue. Ellis' writing is very inclusive and the story is everything you want in a first chapter of a mystery. Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire absolutely kill it on art and colouring, I couldn't think of a better team on this book. Fonograpiks' lettering is great. This is a great team and one I hope that continues.

Mythic #1

May 14, 2015

Overall, I would give this a trade wait, just to see how everything else plays out. This first issue also seems that this story will flow better in trade format. Check it out though, it's only two dollars this week and I will admit it is well worth the price.

The Wicked + The Divine #7

Jan 22, 2015

As always the art and coloring in this book is fantastic, McKelvie and Wilson are a perfect match for each other, the colors in this making each character pop with every page. I've loved this book since the very beginning and it just keeps better and better.

Wolf #1

Jul 22, 2015

Wolf #1 can get a bit confusing at times, and I had to reread it just to understand what was going on. Clocking in at 58 pages, this deserves a long hard look and you might be surprised what you see in the art. Matt Taylor and Lee Loughridge are the artist and colorist for this book at they are brilliant. Taylor's clean, angular pencils give way to fantastic details in the background and the way Loughridge fills pages with fiery oranges and forest greens is a sight to behold. This book has both style and substance if you're willing to look close enough, and proves just how weird Los Angeles is.
