For every action there's an opposite and equal reaction. Emma's actions against Berkshire have already resulted in Mia's recapture and George being beaten and shot, but in Berk's deranged mind his reaction was far from equal. Emma has yet to pay in full and Berk will have his pound of flesh, regardless of the blood splattered consequences. Now the two are set on a deadly collision course as Emma infiltrates Berk's complex in one last attempt to save the lost children from their brutal and fearsome fate.
We've only gotten tastes of a larger world and story, and it's certainly understandable that they couldn't all fit into a 5-issue miniseries. I do think that the story succeeded in terms of its characters, and in delivering an exciting action storyline with some real-world thematic heft, and I hope they have chance to expand on these successes in future stories.
