    A Comic Book Blog - Wayland Nov 16, 2011

So…. farewell Darkwing. I'll miss you. I counted on this book for some good goofy fun, which, especially in the era of "Dark Avengers" and the "DCNU," is harder and harder to find. IF the title comes back, and IF they keep the same tone, I'll resume my reviews on it. Read Full Review

I'll miss you DW and here's hoping Marvel (whenever they get around to putting out a new title) gives us a comic half as good as the one Boom delivered every single month. CHUD - Jeb Delia Nov 11, 2011

This is the last hurrah of Boom's Disney comics, anyway, presumably because Disney's acquisition of Marvel means they can print their own comics there rather than licensing them out to an outside company like Boom. So I guess the feeling was that it all had to end with a bang. Still, I think this was a misstep for a "good" all-ages series and a "decent" one, respectively. I'll be interested to see if Brill, in particular, makes the jump to Marvel, and what happens to these characters in the future. I do recommend picking up some of the Darkwing Duck trades (and, while I'm at it, the classic Carl Barks reprints!) but this is definitely not the place to start. Read Full Review
