The Seasons Have Teeth #1 is a brilliant examination of several themes including the necessary arrogant nature of youth, the violent clawing nature of rebirth and the effects of loss on the human spirit brought remarkably to life through a central conceit that overlays a fantasy nature to a storyline that uses it's intended metaphors to brilliant effect. A superb effort from all involved. Read Full Review

Final ThoughtsDan Watters and Sebastin Cabrol have created something special with The Seasons Have Teeth #1. A tremendous kickoff issue that promises great things to come, it's filled with unique ideas and a captivating main character. If the Watters and Cabrol keep this up, they'll have a one of the best new series of the year on their hands. My only complaint is that it was over too soon. Read Full Review

Dan Watters, Sebastin Cabrol, and Dan Jackson nail the sense of discovery that permeates throughout The Seasons Have Teeth #1. Watters develops a unique voice for our lead character, with both him and the world elevated by the fantastic artwork by Cabrol and Jackson. There is a lot of potential with how additional characters and discoveries made add to the world. Read Full Review

The seasons have taken on Kaiju type forms in this tale, which is an interesting premise, but the center of the story here is a widower seeking to recapture a bit of himself since his wife passed. The reason for the seasons taking on physical forms isn't shown in this issue so we're gonna have to wait for that info (hopefully they will b4 it's over but you never know). The art is wonderful and the reveal of the first season is pretty epic. Overall I thought this was a beautiful comic and I'm ready to read the next one.

The only thing this issue had going for it was the artwork from Sebastian Cabrol. Story just was not engaging enough for me to want to get next issue.
