Akaneiro is of the caliber of incredible storytelling that continues to make Dark Horse one of the best, most artistic publishers in the business, and the second issue is a must-have. I am thinking of checking the game out however, with being able to explore the world myself I may get a better feel for everything. Still check it out if you haven't got much else to do.
