Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Nov 21, 2013

B.P.R.D. continues to offer something I don't get in other comics; it always feels epic and big and like all of these individual pieces play parts. At the end of the day though, it's the care put into the book. The story of man vs. monsters is a simple one and one that could so easily fall into lazy territory and still be fairly well done. But the integrity of B.P.R.D.'s team assures us that yes, there will be monsters, and they will be done well. But so will the environments, so will the character moments, big and small, so will new character development, so will art, and so on and so forth. And that care about making a good product is what makes these stories ones I can't miss. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Brian Salvatore and David Harper Nov 20, 2013

These issues are so well laid out that they could appear sans dialogue, and you'd know exactly what is going on. His pacing and panel composition are second to none. I'm bummed we only have one more issue of him for the foreseeable future. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Joey Caswell Nov 20, 2013

There was too much in B.P.R.D. #113 to discuss in a single review. If youre following the Mignolaverse at all, this is an issue you definitely dont want to miss. I cant remember the last time the overall Hell on Earth saga was pushed forward in such a tangible and wide-ranging way within the confines of a single issue, and all of it was done in a very exciting and satisfying manner. The team hit all the right notes this month. Read Full Review

    Bloody Disgusting - Lonmonster Nov 22, 2013

A solid issue to warm up the readers for what will be an impactful conclusion. So much is at stake up to date its incredible to think about what 2014 will hold for the B.R.P.D. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Ben Simms Nov 23, 2013

To put it plainly, this issue is not good. It is far from unreadable, but is not going to make any new fans. To be fair, the is nothing essentially "bad" about the issue. The dialog is fine, and the art is fine. Being the second last issue of the arc, hopefully things will pick up and return to the quirkiness and intrigue that B.R.P.D usually delivers. Front Towards Gamer - Lido Nov 24, 2013

I sincerely hope that this is the bottom of the barrel for Mignola's exploration into the dark disgusting nature of human behavior in the midst of dangerous times, but I get the troubling sense there's probably deeper yet to go. Regardless, it should be obvious I don't recommend this comic. Mike Mignola you can continue to be angry, cynical, and despondent about change and the future, but as for me I'm going to look forward to a future where I'm not reading any more comics like this one, B.P.R.D. #113 is not recommended for anyone.
