This is shaping up to the be the most important Mignolaverse story in years. The world is at stake, so why wouldn't it be? You could try looking for a better book, but, to quote a character in this issue, "You won't." Highest possible recommendation. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Joey Caswell Mar 19, 2014

So far, the Reign of the Black Flame arc has been among the very best in all of the B.P.R.D.s long history. Issue #117 was jam-packed with more action than typically expected but Mignola and Arcudi dont neglect the overall story for a moment. This is a really special arc, and the team dynamic is back in full force again with some fantastic new additions to the series. You sense the depths below you, but what swims there you dont know. Well put, Mr. Black Flame, well put. Read Full Review

an explosive issue packed with action, but jumping between teams gets messy and confusing. one of the better issues of the arc. Still a recommended series IMHO.
