    AIPT - David Brooke Oct 2, 2013

Finally, the Agents of Change storyline is completely lost on me. The characters, since there are so many, don't get enough time to be fleshed out. It's going at such a slow rate I'm starting to wonder if there's any point at all other than show a superhero team with the Casey flashlight. Read Full Review

Over all, it's not a bad issue and there's a decent level of variety for three stories with similar themes. Definitely worth picking up if you see it. Read Full Review

Overall, I thought this issue was not as great as its predecessor, but it does set it up for some exciting story arcs. I do think that, after you read it, you will understand why this issue is a stepping stone. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Jeff Butler Oct 3, 2013

I can't say I understand all of each story's intentions, or, outside of the first story, how they will continue as longer narratives. While interesting as short stories I can't picture how any one of them would work as a full twenty-one pages, as page count is burned pretty quickly without communicating a whole lot. Despite this, it's a quality comic, with art from creators comfortable in their individual style rather than aping a Marvel/DC ideal, and characters that I find at the very least intriguing. Care alone is enough to make me want to go back and read the series from the beginning, and considering my recent case of the Comic Grumps that's a win in my book. Read Full Review

I think I might've been a little too generous in my initial statement that Catalyst Comix #4was an improvement from issue 3. Overall this issue isn't exactly less flawed just differently flawed, where Catalyst #3was muddled and confused issue 4 is lazy and stagnant, coming off a lot like filler, or a holding pattern while the author tries to figure out where to make any of these stories go. For those curious the artwork is decent if unimpressive, it serves the function without breaking any molds. I've heard good things about past stories from the Catalyst and agents of change characters but this really isn't one of them, not recommended guys. Read Full Review
