Conan Red Sonja #4 was a satisfying conclusion to a series that successfully avoided all the potential pitfalls of such a crossover due to its excellent writing and character portrayals. The confrontation between the duo and Thoth-Amon was worth the wait, and the extended action sequence with them fighting the one truly responsible for the Bloodroot was impressive. This issue almost had me convinced that the duo could've fought a twig and the writing would've made the conclusion sound epic in portraying the two as heroes. If you're looking for a fun action series with solid character portrayals, look no further than this one. Read Full Review

Conan/Red Sonja #4 reads like the last half hourofa goodaction movie when the die has been cast, and the hero(es) fights the villainand hopefully saves the day. But underneath the magic, muscles, and mayhem, Simone, Zub,and Green portray Conanand Sonjaas human beings, who have been through incredibly tough times, and just need someone to draw swordsand drinkandale with. With its sharpart, occasionally poetic writing, and relentlessaction,Conan/Red Sonja#4isa frenziedconclusion tothe ultimate fantasy fiction crossover. Read Full Review

Although the art doesn't quite convey the epic nature of the story as well as I'd like, Conan Red Sonja 4 concludes the story well, providing solid action and excellent interaction and growth between the two protagonists. While the overall story has been a bit back and forth, I've enjoyed reading it nonetheless. Josh says check it out. Read Full Review

This is by no means a bad comic. It's bound to appeal to fans of Conan, Red Sonja, and the genre which they're most comfortable in. It's written and drawn with admiration for the concepts, but fails to deliver anything beyond that admiration. The result is an entertaining diversion, but nothing memorable. Read Full Review

So, overall I am unsure how to really score this book. In a week where I have seen some pretty standard books this, was like a breath of fresh air. But as part of a whole, I found the mini series a little too formulaic in both the approach and the execution. Read Full Review
