    Blood Lagoon Part 2 is a Grindhouse book through and through. All of part 1s borderline tedious build up pays off in spades, resulting in one of the most uplifting and fun Grindhouse tale to date. Seeing Deputy Garcia on the page again is an absolute treat, that offers a tantalizing taste of grindhouse sequels. Let's hope De Campi has even more up her sleeve as the series continues.     Let's get to those Grindhouse totals: eight breasts, 30 bloodsucking ticks from outer space, two motor vehicle chases with chain gun and flamethrowers, fifty gallons blood, a solid 70 on the vomit meter, whisky fu, monster truck fu, gay pride fu, cybernetic torso fu.     Ironically, of course, the quick two-and-shoo (that's a good equivalent for one-and-done, right?) nature of this series means that I will still be on-board next time for "Lady Danger," the subsequent story arc in the Grindhouse series. I just hope that de Campi can recapture the black magic she ensorceled the book (and me) with so many times previously, and that "Blood Lagoon" was just a sputtering, bloody hiccup on the way to another truly inspiring death rattle.
