The Rhodes Review - Stephen W Rhodes Aug 28, 2013

I thought that while this was another good issue,Mass Effect: Foundation #2 was a step down from#1. I already mentioned that there wasn't much of a plot to discuss, but the fun and action made up for it.My main complaint from this issue is the art. Most of it is really good, but Kai Leng and Rasa didn't really look like themselves. I especially noticed a difference in Rasa's look from the last issue and it really confused me at first. They switched artists on this issue for whatever reason, and I guess that's why there was a discrepancy. Overall, this is still a really good issue. The bottom line is that you should check this issue out, if for no other reason, because of Urdnot Wrex. He's hilarious and kicks ass, like always. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Daniel Briscoe Sep 16, 2013

As I said earlier, this story feels like equal parts "let's give the fans more" and "let's write more stories that explore things we didn't get a chance to in the games". At its core this is a series for the fans by the writers of the second and third games. While newcomers to the Mass Effect series may find this an interesting point of entrance into the franchise, the allure of the story or the impact of the names of the characters will be somewhat lost. With the second issue under way, the character of Rasa is making a rather big impression on the world ofMass Effect. With solid artwork, a fun story and some familiar faces, this is a great read for fans of the franchise, and those of science fiction in general. Read Full Review

All in all, I'm not sure if this is the comic for just any reader. It's definitely a worthy purchase for the story alone. Let's put it this way, if you like the games you definitely should add this to your pull list. As a person that doesn't play the mass effect games more than a bit, I can also say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story. If you can get past the artwork, I think you'll enjoy this read. I see a lot of promise with this story."RLA Read Full Review
