Past Aways delighted me from the first installment and each issue was a treasure of fun. Matt Kindt delivered some crazy scripts with ideas and events that were wacky as hell and had me hopeful that this could run for an age with all kinds of angles to explore within it. I had also hoped that Scott Kolins would have a few years worth of work within this series as well because he has blown me away with what he did here – on top of a few other books he's worked on elsewhere at the same time. I love his style and sense of design, the sense of weird, and all the little details and curiosities put into it. Past Aways is a true hidden gem that I cannot recommend enough. Read Full Review

This is the best spoil-free review I can give you, because I really want everyone to check this series out. This is an incredible sci fi series for anyone who loves some dramatic and character-driven storylines. The creative team of Kindt and Kolins is one that I’d like to take a moment to commend. The series is this brilliant because of their creativity, hard work, and genius! Here’s hoping we see more of this story at some point! For now, we say goodbye to Past Aways. It’s been [un]real. If you didn't have the chance to read this series during its original run, I highly recommend you pick it up and give it a read. The characters are interesting and unapologetic and the writing is as snarky and entertaining as any team-up should be. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Dylan Hicks Mar 30, 2016

All together though, Past Aways #9 was a great read and a very dark conclusion to the story. Matt did a good job of wrapping things up, and Scott did just as good of a job interpreting Matt's script. If you are in the market for reflecting on your own mortality, or just want a dark time caper, this is the book for you. I am buying this issue for the last eight pages alone. I give Past Aways #9, 4 out of 5 stars. Read Full Review
