• Frank Barbiere's Image series Five Ghosts is a breakout hit!
Speaking of Cypress, his art continues to blow me away. The opening dream sequence that introduces us to the White Suits of old is absolutely gorgeous. The lone female White Suit gliding across the two-page spread, wielding her swords amidst the carnage with the book's title spelt out on her elongated legs encapsulates what makes this book so fun to read. Every panel draws your eye and the sporadic use of red and full color makes the book pop. Read Full Review
The White Suits #2 builds perfectly on the first issue while providing its own entertainment and intriguing plot twists. One of Prizrak's missions with the White Suits coming to light provides insight into and gives depth to the character as it also serves as a way for him and Sarah to relate to each other. The plot also thickens in terms of the origins of the White Suits and their connections and there's so much potential in that story line unfolding. Despite Sarah and Prizrak's lack of recon it leads to an even more interesting development and one that not only leaves me anticipating the next episode but keeps my hopes up for this entire series. Though the protagonist's internal monologue and the overly gratuitous cursing can sometimes make the reading experience drag, the issue remains, overall, as a strong addition to the growing storyline. Read Full Review
There really isnt anything quite like The White Suits out there today. It is wholly unique and reading it provides a dynamically different experience than most comics. Its wild, sketchy, and completely untethered. Yet, its moved along with brisk dialogue and larger than life criminal violence that never lets you catch your breath. Youll still be trying to piece it all together by the time the last page hits but the mysteries brought on by the bigger picture should have you coming back next month. Read Full Review
