    Still, there's a whole lot to like here. Geoff Johns is in the unenviable position of competing with the virtually flawless All-Star Superman every month, but while that book feels timeless and classic, thankfully Johns's Action Comics has come to feel like the future of the character.     Whilst I think that this story is playing with some very interesting ideas, it ultimately feels like less than the sum of its parts. However, the artwork is very strong, and there's enough in the way of thought-provoking material here - particularly the subtle religious and historical elements - to keep me interested enough to read the next issue.     Legion fans might view this as a Must Read, but coming in fresh, it's a bit overwhelming for me and I'm sure anyone else who is not a Legion faithful. Still a solid read that's worth checking out at the very least. Read Full Review

    I guess most of my disappointment over this story arc is due to two reasons. The first is that I simply got way too excited over the thought of seeing my beloved Pre-Crisis Legion once again that my expectations were just way too high. Johns would have had to channel his inner Paul Levitz in order to give me a story arc that would have really satisfied me. Johns would have had to give me Legionnaires in their Pre-Crisis uniforms with a universe that was just as it was right before the Crisis occurred. Read Full Review
