Once again, leave it to the creative team of BSOG to bring such goofy D-list characters to sterling clarity right before our eyes. Streets of Gotham's plots always find a road less travelled to take readers down. Whether it's Hush trying to frivolously spend the Wayne family fortune away with charitable donations, Firefly's spontaneous combustion poison killing Gothamites all over the city, or a story starring a nonessential character like the Carpenter and a psychopath film director who is turning his new hide-out into a maze of deathtraps, every arc in this title's run has been fun and innovative. Major Spoilers - Stephen Schleicher May 23, 2010

I know a lot of readers don't like stories that don't prominently feature someone running around in a cape and tights smacking the crap out of every Joker, Penguin, or Two-Face out there. This is certainly one of those issue. But, if you like insight into what makes a character do the things she does, and if you like incredibly awesome art, then Batman: Streets of Gotham #12 is worth checking out. I enjoy pretty much anything Paul Dini writes, and Dustin Nguyen draws, and Streets of Gotham is something I look forward to each month, earning 4 out of 5 Stars. Read Full Review

The story in "Batman: Streets of Gotham" #12 might not be what was originally promised, but it's a pleasantly fun overall package. This is a book that may have started out feeling like just another Bat-title, but it's developing its own voice and take on Gotham's inhabitants with nice success. If we get more stories like this, I'll keep sticking around. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Dean Stell May 21, 2010

A pretty good issue that has a few flaws on the production side. If you're interested in checking out what is going on in Gotham besides Batman, this is the title for you. Just don't expect a consistent narrative month to month. Read Full Review
