    Frank Miller's imitators only saw darkness in his seminal work, but they missed completely that The Dark Knight Returns is one of the most optimistic comic books in the history of the genre. Here was a crime-ridden and controlled world that demanded the return of the hero. Let's hope that this time the writers who claim inspiration from Mr. Miller finally see the Knight as well as the Dark. Read Full Review

    If this is an example of how DC feel they can beat Marvel in the marketplace, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in deep trouble in the next twelve months. Certainly Alessi's boast of CrossGen being bigger than DC within two years seems eminently achievable. Read Full Review
