    On the other hand, we once again have what appears to be a normal, if talented, martial artist actually hurting Hawk, who is described as having "skin like concrete." How does this keep happening? While I liked the art over-all, Hawk never quite looked right to me, and his flipping over someone to deliver a carefully placed set of strikes is just NOT how he fights. Since this title replaces BOP this month as I understand it, it might have been nice to at least hear mention of Canary, Huntress, or Lady Blackhawk, but I guess they are caught up in the main book over in Asia.     On the positive side, we do get 32 pages for $3 (not too shabby) and I am glad that this issue lets Barbara correctly recognize and identify Bruce (even if it does take her more pages than I'd like). The ending leads us to a big showdown between Bruce and Ra's in the final “Bruce Wayne: The Road Home” One-shot. Read Full Review

    After reading "Bruce Wayne: The Road Home: Oracle" #1, I have absolutely no interest in reading all of the other one-shots to get the rest of the story. I'm slightly ticked that considering this was labeled as a one-shot, that it most clearly was not. (By way of comparison, things like the "Joker's Asylum" one-shots earlier this year were billed the exact same way, but really were a series of one-shots.) That said? I still got some fun out of Andreyko's script, and I'll keep an eye out for Padilla down the line to see what else he does and how his style matures. There are worse fates. Read Full Review
