Constantine#23 is a powerful finale to the series. Ray Fawkes is in fine form here, and Jeremy Haun's art excels at both the cosmic elements and the unstable emotions experienced by the protagonist and the people he tries to save. Fawkes and Haun took a risk in focusing on inner turmoil rather than external forces for the finale toConstantine, but with the final issue they've proven why that was the right choice. It's the end of this series but don't worry John Constantine will be back in June with a new title.  Here though, we have an excellent end to John's forays into Earth-2 and really, a great end to this series.  It's nothing Earth shattering or over the top but what it is, is pure John and it works great.  Combined with the excellent sideburns drawing pencils of Jeremy Haun, I had a great time with this issue and with this series.  Go check it out. Like many of the DC Books ending before Convergence, Constantine is one thats going to be missed. Yes, it is getting relaunched as Constantine: Hellblazer, but with a different creative team. Fawkes, Haun and the Tories have handled this reviewers favourite DC Comics character incredibly well with a powerful final issue that doesnt disappoint. Read Full Review

I feel like this series found it's footing from issue 18 onwards, which makes me sad to see Ray Fawkes reign come to an end. As for the issue itself I slightly wish the closing moments with his Earth-2 family had lasted a little longer and some of the Darkseid stuff was a bit mystifying, but otherwise it was a great issue and a great end to the arc.
