I highly recommend reading this. Even if you havent been reading Bombshells (which, shame on you, what are you doing with your life?), I would still recommend this. Its not hard to follow whats going on. The overall arc of the doubly long issue is fantastic and the end reveal is pretty great. Read Full Review

Marguerite Bennett and Elsa Charretier give fans of Bombshells a great story and the beginning of a new team.  The added bonus is that it is a great jumping on point for new readers as well.  This issue has me totally onboard with this series going forward and is even forcing me to read back issues to catch up.  Yes, it's that good.  The combination of story and art is actually beyond good and if the Bombshell's Universe intrigues you, grab this issue and get totally hooked.  I know I did! The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge Sep 1, 2016

The ongoing Bombshells series is one of my favorite things to dig into and I love what Bennett has been doing there with the characters, the direction, and the tweaks to this timeline. How she gets as much done as she does is beyond me but the results are fantastic, particularly with this book. The ongoing series has so much more that can be done that I hope this annual shows that some spin-offs or one-shots can be produced and made to be a whole lot of fun as ways to tie into other events. This book does a lot of great character stuff that will change part of the ongoing and I'm excited to see how that will play out. I'm also over the moon at getting such great artwork and sense of fun and love out of it from Charretier as I've thoroughly enjoyed what I've seen from her in the past year and hope she finds more opportunity to play in the Bombshells field. IGN - Jesse Schedeen Sep 1, 2016

Bennett does a great job of working in many familiar Batgirl characters and elements while also offering a very fresh spin on the character. The mix of WWI action, romance and Haunted Mansion-style supernatural horror is bizarre, but enjoyable Read Full Review

Bombshells Annual is a good issue offering an inspired take on Barbara Gordon as well as a clever tie-in to another DC property that's a complete surprise. That adds up to a story worth reading. Read Full Review

If you like magic in your superhero stories, you can't go wrong with this one. One of DC's most popular teams comes together in this continuity and, without giving away much, they seem to be up to the TASK. And, if you happen to be one of many Bombshells cosplayers, there's much inspiration to be found. Heck, Batgirl has already been given two costumes! Read Full Review
