While I had been a fan of Robinson way back when Starman got off the ground, I didn't care for his work on Superman and that had me a bit cautious about this. With Desai being an original character it seems, it allows him a bit more freedom and he takes advantage of it with what the character has built up for an organization and its seemingly basic goals of wealth, power and advantage. His inclusion with the heroes is the most curious aspect of it because you wonder what it is he gets from it, but it can be seen as a definite advantage to be on the inner circle there. What he brings to it is another question entirely that's not answered here, but like the other questions, it definitely keeps you interested and wanting to know more. Read Full Review

Surprise! Another Flashpoint tie-in is awesome! Yes it's an unfamiliar character, and you may not be too familiar with the creative team, but trust me, this book is a lot of fun. Sure, the set-up drags a tad, but the action in this book will make you forget about the slow start. I'm very excited to see where this goes, and even though we don't know too much about the Outsider, he's totally my second favorite character in the Flashpoint Universe, second only to Thomas Wayne/Batman. I highly recommend this issue. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Chad Nevett Jun 26, 2011

The first extended view of the Outsider is an intriguing one. We've seen him go about his business and get into a big superhero-y fight. What remains to be seen is how much depth there is to the character and if he has legs beyond "Flashpoint." If this issue is any indication, he does. Read Full Review

Sometimes explosive action is not the way to go, especially as it concerns a string-puller like the Outsider. We'll have to see if Robinson can pull off a worthwhile storyline for this bizarre character. Read Full Review
