Sterling Gates has a good handle on the story he wants to tell but also the characters he is using to tell it with. He has a very good characterization on Hawk and Dove, and I am continually glad to see the Dove relationship with Deadman continues. That was one of the great parts of Brightest Day. Rob Liefeld does a great job drawing the character he once drew many years ago. He captures the dynamism of each scene, and makes all the panels impactful. All in all, this is a solid book, and I really want to know what the heck is going on with this potential subplot. I hope Hawk gets some answers out of Condor next issue!!! Read Full Review

And Gates seems to be building a more cosmic background here. I can't wait to see just how all these little reveals come together. And hopefully that supra-dimensional background and street level super-villain hijinks will give him some freedom to take the book in lots of directions. Read Full Review
