It’s a family feud years in the making, and raised to a devastating level, as a superpowered Batman and Robin engage in an earth-shaking battle.

This issue was another action packed slugfest and I am so glad.  We are deep into the Year of the Gods and if this pace keeps up, there won't be any of them left at the end.  Shazam kicks major ass, but Damian comes off a bit too needy.  That's okay, though, because Batman gives him a fatherly beatdown that I wish came sooner.  The art was good for the most part and I am back to enjoying (and recommending) one of my favorite books. The fights we get here certainly work well with what it sets out to do as we get big and powerful with what Superman and Shazam have to do while it gets very personal and grounded between Batman and Robin. Each of the fights works well and sets its own elements into motion, though I find myself the most curious to see what will happen with Superman next considering he's been hit with a plague from the gods. Shazam also has his own issues that are going to hit in a big way, though you can see Harley riding to the rescue to save her favorite little boy. It's a good action filled installment that served up what I was hoping for, with the death of Hercules and a point of no return sense when it comes to aspects of this fight. Read Full Review
