Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj Aug 25, 2010

So we are a mere 22 pages away from the ending here. I have a lot of questions and hope that most of them will be answered. I suppose the chaotic nature of the Starheart might mean that much of what is happening is random and cannot be explained. That said, I am really hoping that the 'why's' of this story are addressed. I usually expect some underlying answers to a story like this to be answered in the second to last chapter. We still have a climactic battle to come ... so some explanation usually happens before that. And since there aren't many answers here, most of the issue is just action, punches being thrown and verbal barbs being exchanged. There wasn't much movement forward from part 3 to part 4. It's not to say I haven't been enjoying this story. I have. I just am really hopeful that I get a decent payoff here. Read Full Review

    Comic Vine - inferiorego Aug 18, 2010

Although this book was quite entertaining and had a lot of great elements to it, I can't get over the fact that I'd much rather see this as it's own mini-series. As I stated before, JSA hasn't had time to establish itself again since Johns left the book and what it really needs is a creative team that's willing to stick with the book for a good 12 issues at least. If you're interested in this storyline, wait until it comes out in trade, since it may be hard to pick up the single issues now. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza Aug 20, 2010

While there were no appearances by Hawkman or Hawkgirl in this issue, the variant cover featured Hawkman, and presented quite a striking image as such. The regular cover continues to deliver the panoramic shot of the JLA and JSA in battle against the Starheart. The story is the same under either cover, and in this case, it's a quick-moving, fun adventure. Read Full Review

Chuck's Comic Of The Day - Chuck Aug 22, 2010

It's a shame - when a writer as good as Robinson tackles a comic, I expect much more than just the same old thing. But that's all you'll find here. Read Full Review
