Red Lanterns: Futures End #1 is the second issue in a row that has a script which could easily be used to end the entire series; it's almost like Charles Soule were ending his run or something!  This issue really illustrates what an impact the writer has had on this title and why he'll be sorely missed, providing a well crafted future that readers would actually want to have come to pass.  This issue leaves the reader wanting more and for me it is the pick of the Green Lantern family litter this month.  Five out of five lanterns! What Guy and the Lanterns are doing in the future is a successful and convincing portrayal of where this book could eventually go if Soule were to actually write it for 5 more years. Of course, since we all know he won't be, it's nice to see such a beautifully realized ending. The only complaint here is that the ending feels abrupt, only because it will leave you wanting more. Overall, Red Lanterns #1 Futures End is a very good issue. Charles Soule brings a complex story that really resonates and brings a whole new sense of history for not only the Red Lantern Corps but for the universe as well. The colors are vibrant and the characters look amazing as Jim Calafiore and Gabe Elraeb bring some of their best work to the book. Putting this all together makes Red Lanterns #1 Futures End one of the best books for not only the series but for Futures End month as well. Read Full Review

All in all Red Lanterns Futures End #1 was a fun comic to read. If you planed to stop reading the series the Red Lanterns Futures End #1 gives readers the best conclusion to the series.. Although if this is the future of the Red Lantern Corps, I would love to see stories on how we get to that point. Read Full Review

I don't think anyone will ever know how happy I am that we actually got a decent future for one of our Lanterns.  I really thought it was going to be a lost cause, but Charles Soule came through with a story full of hope, adventure and an optimistic future.  Well done sir, well done.  So go out and check out the ever emotional Guy Gardner and his fun romp Five Years From Now.  Do it!
