    While there's no direct connection to Batman RIP, this issue is a perfect example of how tieins should be handled. It's clear it's related to RIP, but it doesn't intrude on the current Robin storylines and subplots. Read Full Review

    I, however, love the cover of the issue. This issue is titled "Death of a Family," lining up, obviously, with the controversial "A Death in the Family" featuring the demise of Jason Todd. Here we have Tim Drake holding Batman exactly like Batman was holding Jason Todd on the cover of "A Death in the Family," except mirrored. Read Full Review

    A good issue. Nicieza does a good job of setting the tone for his tenure on the series. The art team was good(excellent at times). I am curious how this series will be handled after Batman R.I.P. and with the loss of Chuck Dixon. This is a good start. Read Full Review

    All in all, this is a decent book. The art is relatively solid (aside from an awkward first page; the expression on Wayne's face is bizarre) and the writing, though dull in terms of plot, hits the right characterization notes, which will please fans of the Boy Wonder. All in all a better tie-in issue than I was expecting. Read Full Review
