    If you were looking forward to Doomsday's return… well, that was your first mistake. But if you were looking for a return to prominence for John Henry Irons, don't hold your breath. You're going to have to keep waiting. Read Full Review

    All in all, Im afraid even Benes above average art couldnt save this issues paper-thin plot. To be honest, Im not even sure if a certain character was supposed to be alive or not at the end of the issue. Im sure this story will pick up steam as it progresses, but as an opening act this was a disappointment. Read Full Review

    There's nothing new brought to the table here. Punches thrown, loud growls, sacrificing one's self to protect innocents, and even a deliberately murky "death" that could just as easily be undone. (In someone else's comic, no less, since it's unresolved here.) Lyons said he's been promised more work at DC. I hope that's true, but only because I want to see something that reminds me of his normally much stronger writing. This is a bad start to a crossover. Read Full Review
