Stormwatch #17 is an excellent book. I'm sad to see that it's not selling well, which could mean it's on DC's chopping block. We already lost I, Vampire, and I don't want to loose Stormwatch either. Show Apollo and Midnighter some love, people! Read Full Review

Will Conrad brings the goods this issue. His Midnighter and Apollo reek of confidence and power, while his Engineer is inhuman and scary. The action is perfectly paced. His splash page reintroduction of Zealot has a great old school Wildstorm feel to it. Milligan and Conrad finally find a bit of the magic that defined these characters in the past. She just barely "misses" Midnighter and Apollo with a death laser, stalls taking out the real threats, and then attacks another character with a non-lethal blow "on purpose." If this is the usual story of the good guy goes bad but the real good guy is somewhere in there forcing pulled punches then this whole story just got a whole lot less interesting. Either way, Apollo and Midnighter's lover-fighting continues to entertain just as this title continues to get better, bit by bit. Read Full Review
