As I said in a previous review of Superman, Busiek & Pacheco working together is pure magic. Never has a Superman title been so good for so many issues. Superman #658 was nothing great. I do think that this story arc has the potential to be pretty interesting. Hopefully, Busiek can turn up the pacing a couple of notches in the next issue. I don't think that Superman is nearly as strong of a title as Action Comics. The big difference is that I would recommend Action Comics to anyone regardless if they were a Superman fan or not; whereas I wouldn't do that with Superman. Read Full Review
The idea of Superman doing nothing may have seemed novel to Busiek, but it actually describes about ten years worth of the post-Crisis Superman run. Who can forget Superman bravely floating over wreckage and doing nothing in the aftermath of Our Worlds at War? Who can forget him weeping at the drop of a hat? For these reasons I cannot fully recommend this issue of Busiek's Superman. Read Full Review
