The Legends of Wonder Woman continues being a treat for Wonder Woman and comic fans in general.  This issue continues showing how a feisty little girl continues her journey towards being a hero.  The art and story combine to form a fairy tale like experience that looks and reads like a classic Disney film and I love it.  Please, don't read into DC Comics lack of support as anything but a huge faux pas on their part...this book is great. The Legend of Wonder Woman is a collection of gorgeous works of art complete with an enjoyable story. De Liz and Dillon are a winning creative coupling, and have done their due diligence on making this series the enchanter that it is. While certainly not the first time Wonder Woman's origin story has been told, The Legend of Wonder Woman is a welcoming and accessible fresh start for those who have never taken the opportunity to dive into her mythos. A third of the way into the series and it's just as strong, interesting and beautiful to read. Origin tales almost always retain certain elements that are consistent telling to telling and that's no surprise here. What helps make an origin story stand out is the quality of the writing, the tweaks and adjustments brought to it, and the passion as presented by the artwork. The duo here are crafting a great origin story that has me wanting to see more of it, a greater expansion on it, and simply more tales in the future from these two if given the opportunity. Wonder Woman has the ability to tell tales in numerous ways as we saw through Sensation Comics, stories that the other big core characters are unable to tell in the same way. This series is establishing itself well and has put both creators on the map for me to see what else they have in store in the future as I want to see more. Read Full Review
