You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Aug 10, 2023

Given how well laid out each issue has been concerning the dramatic impetus of the ensemble, Weisman has a solid idea of how to keep the momentum of the series going. There is a do you love motion towards the end of the second issue, which we all catapult things into the third. Weisman has the first two issues ending in cliffhangers that feel remarkably strong, given how little story has actually made it across the page by the end of the second issue. Read Full Review

    The Comicbook Dispatch - batfan1992 Aug 9, 2023

The story in Gargoyles: Dark Ages #2is slow-paced because it is focusing on re-acquainting readers with the history of the gargoyles in Scotland of centuries past. That being said, while the plot is slow, the art makes up for it with fantastic panels showing the characters in various emotional stages from sadness to anger. The Gargoyle mythology will continue to be explored. What further history could be uncovered? Read Full Review

    AIPT - Andrew Isidoro Aug 9, 2023

Weisman continues to shed light on the history of the Wyvern clan. The artwork draws us into the heart of an intense battle between the Gargoyles and human forces. The skilled use of colors, even within the nocturnal setting, adds depth and dynamism to each page. This issue remains a decent installment, leaving us eager to unravel the mysteries that lie ahead in the series. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez Aug 11, 2023

GARGOYLES: DARK AGES #2 delivers one big bombastic battle, pitting humans against humans and Gargoyles against humans for the right to King Culens throne. The action is energetic, and the cliffhanger ending generates curiosity for what happens next, but the unfortunate human designs make all the characters fighting (except Gargoyles) look like a mass of confusion. ComicBook.com - Adam Barnhardt Aug 9, 2023

Though Drew Moss' lineart continues to do wonders for this animated-based property, which brings across the tone of the show it's based on exceptionally well, a lukewarm script does no favors at it drags readers in far too many directions with bizarre pacing and questionable paneling.
