    AIPT - David Brooke Oct 16, 2013

The art by Marc Laming continues to be a solid rock in this work, always well rendered and grounded. There's a lot of talking in this comic, but you won't even notice because he has a way of giving us a good balance of mid level-shots and closeups to keep us focused on the emotions and events as they transpire. Books like this require a deft hand in that regard or they'll become less comic and more novel, which kills the pace and creates a boring vacuum you can't escape. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Rob McMonigal Oct 17, 2013

Laming's Phantom sections are the best, from his Batman-like first appearance to the subtle mark of the Phantom's sigil on a tribal guard's face. Parker takes full advantage, writing lines that tie directly into the visuals while also keeping his usual banter fresh and meaningful as the pair leave the reader on a cliffhanger that looks bad for the good guys. All-Comic - Ian Stephen Oct 16, 2013

Cobra is making his move, our heroes are putting things together and we now know what the Kings Watch is, sort of. With only three issues left it will be fascinating to see when all three of our heroes will team up to fight off the determined and vile Cobra and his plans for the Kings Watch. Being a miniseries, Kings Watch does an excellent job of making each issue fun and engaging to read and keep the pages flowing smoothly for a great story. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Brian Salvatore Oct 18, 2013

This mini seems to be a launch pad for these characters to have solo adventures, which is an interesting idea, especially considering Dynamite's relaunch of the Gold Key characters coming next year. This issue doesn't quite have the bombast of the first, but it is still a solid comic with a lot to enjoy within. Read Full Review

Geeks Unleashed - Chris Romero Oct 18, 2013

Packed with quickly paced suspense and dramatic art, fun is exactly what this book is. It's still too soon to see if Cobra is a formidable arch enemy, but this title is off to a strong start. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Hugo Robberts Lariviere Oct 20, 2013

Despite a rather slow burn in the plot department along with some missed opportunity here and there, this issue still mostly delivers thanks to its level of craft in its pacing, art and colorization. A nice read, yet one that could get better considering the talent of the creative team. Read Full Review
