Based on the hit Disney Channel series! Hiro, Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Go Go are all off on a class trip for the day-leaving Fred at home to defend San Fransokyo! He'd better come up with a strategy, just in case-and what better way to do that than by writing his very own Big Hero 6 comic book!
Join Hiro, Wasabi, Fred, Go Go, Honey Lemon and Baymax for new adventures, new friends, and new adversaries as the Big Hero 6 team continues to fight to protect San Fransokyo!
Overall, I really enjoyed reading Big Hero 6: The Series #1. It built upon the already established elements in previous material while also promising to build more in this universe. The ending of the main story sets up the second issue in a much more traditional sense by adding a cliffhanger but it's very effective. The short story at the end was quite funny, especially since it shows a new version of BayMax. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the series plays out. Read Full Review

Both writers of this comic do a good job crafting individual tales about team member Fred. The stories are funny and smartly written. But as I have not seen the TV series, just the movie, I felt that some references went over my head. That's not a bad thing in itself. However, in my opinion, such in-jokes make this a comic in which only the most loyal fans of Big Hero 6 will get maximum enjoyment. But it's still a fun read for those Disney adventure fans of all ages! Read Full Review

This was really fun. Two simple stories with good jokes and situational humor. I had only one problem. Lettering in first story - where was comics in comics - was hard to read.
