Big Comic Page - Andrew Stevens Jul 22, 2014

In conclusion, this book was a riot, even just picking it up at this random issue. Since most kaiju media these days has strayed away from the joyously weird Toho originals it is great to see that spirit continued on by such big fans who clearly want to continue that series for other fans. Just be warned that youll be expected to have done your homework. Read Full Review

Unleash The Fanboy - Daniel Alvarez Jul 23, 2014

Overall, another very good read. The opening battle is fantastic and worth the price of admission alone. Lucy has become thebesthuman character of the series. Mechagodzilla does not disappoint, he has been very well worth the hype. Godzilla's role is attacking the city, which is disappointing since it's happened so much already in the past Ongoings. Still, one cannot deny the awesome final page and how horrible the wait is going to be until the next issue. Read Full Review

Chris Mowry also still manages to keep the plot coherent while providing one heck of a cliffhanger. It's keep this one in the 'good' category" but not by much. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Noah Sharma Jul 30, 2014

Godzilla: Rulers of Earth is a fun series and this is a particularly strong installment. Though it still lacks the vision or the uniqueness to truly stand out the way Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye or Godzilla: The Half-Century War do, issue #14 proves that Mowry and Frank have some really interesting ideas to play with. The writing is perhaps the best the series has seen " dialogue, structure, and all " and Matt Frank continues to tighten his craft as the series continues. Full of a little bit of everything great about the kaiju genre and a slew of clever shout-outs to classic Godzilla lore, this issue should thoroughly satisfy fans of Japan's biggest star. Comic Bastards - Carl Boehm Jul 23, 2014

While we readers wait to see how that plays out, we still get a good, entertaining read every month in Rulers of Earth. Additionally, IDW has not yet shifted the continuity on the book, so the familiarity is there. For now. As Mowry continues to develop this alien invasion story, we look for the progression that will have Godzilla facing his foes and blasting his atomic breath on any monster or alien that stands in his way.
