The writing (again by various people) is great! I really like the idea behind this line. And I imagine the creators behind this comic are either deeply disturbed or are extremely talented. I want to get in on this! Sitting around a room throwing out ideas to perplex and instill fear into the readers. Sounds like a perfect job! Because this isn't a running storyline, I can't say that I ever felt deeply for one of the characters or anything really on the plot. However, my favorite of the bunch was Rider in the Storm. Face it; these stories are about as scary as a penguin. The main reason to check out the book would be the artwork. The nostalgic draw does play into it, too. If you do enjoy horror books, you will get a kick from these collections. If not, then there won’t be a huge draw to get you to turn these pages. Read Full Review
Just about the best book you can buy for pre-code, golden-age horror! only $4 for 40+ pages of reprints expertly researched and lovingly printed. The only thing that holds each issue back from a "10" score is the reprint factor. Maybe that shouldn't matter... YOU decide! Highly recommended.
