    Comicosity - Allen Thomas Dec 16, 2015

For something fun and light and infused with the feels, pick up this issue. You definitely won't be disappointed. It's a great take on the relationship between the Misfits and the Holograms and has some excellent character moments that I hope will continue to happen. Read Full Review

In some parts of the book, the art was great. In other places, not so much. Read Full Review

Needless Essentials Online - Stan Ford Dec 15, 2015

This is a great comic that stands on his own and is good and simple. Any faults I have with it are in the way it seems too much like an episode of an animated series, which is something that is just a matter of preference. A good story is a good story, and good art is good art. Read Full Review

Unleash The Fanboy - Kieran Hair Dec 25, 2015

With an art style that straddles the gap between Eastern and Western animation, and a story that advances the plot of the series, the Jem and The Holograms Holiday Special is sure to entertain to continuously growing fan base that IDW has been accumulating. And in true holiday spirit, it just may teach readers a thing or two about the values of thoughtfulness, forgiveness, and the extent to which even those of questionable character may occasionally surprise us. This series is, if you'll forgive the pun, a true gem. It's nice to see it receiving the holiday treatment that it deserves. Read Full Review

    ComicBuzz - murrakmr Dec 18, 2015

As a holiday special, this book is really well crafted. The story can stand on its own without having to read the ongoing series, but it also ties in just enough to make this a pleasant get together with the gang over the festive period. It should get you in the mood for all that the holidays bring, while also remind you why we go through all the hassle and expense to try and spend just one day of the year with our loved ones free of stress, arguments or animosity. Indeed, if we take anything from the book it might be that sometimes a little bit of thought can make even the most stubborn of us realise that not everyone is as simple as we might paint them to be. The only thing missing? No singing, sure I can't be the only one waiting to see a Jem and the Holograms Christmas song? Read Full Review

Pop Culture Uncovered - Adam Frey Dec 15, 2015

On the other hand, theJem Holiday Special may serve as a decent introduction to the young reader who's never been exposed to Jem before, which hopefully means they also didn't see this summer's bomb of a film. This is recommended for your young reader wants to get into some girl power comics"or the older reader who wants a new spin on an 80s classic. Read Full Review
