ConclusionIf you only get one Star Trek comic book this month, it definitely should be this one. In conclusion the enterprise crew is facing the deadliest Klingon attack they've ever encountered. This Klingon crew has succeeded in doing something no other has done in their collective history together and Kirk and crew are in more trouble than they could have ever imagined from their sworn enemies. Overall issue #2 was much better than the 1st issue and hopefully this trend will continue. Star Trek the Original Series is near and dear to a lot of people (not so much me as I grew up the Next Generation) and these fans want to see stories and characters that they are familiar with and have come to love. Trekkies like Star Wars fans get crabby when things are out of place and arent what they are supposed to be, but whats nice about this series is that I think it has the ability to bring a new generation of people to the Star Trek universe which I think doesnt get enough credit. I highly recommend you go out and buy a copy of this issue today! Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke May 3, 2016

I want to see more of the Star Trek cast saying and doing things of importance, but you can't deny the character development of the villains is a good element explored in this issue. This is big action with an event feel; perfect for summer reading. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Johnny Hughes May 5, 2016

I avoided looking at the first issue of this story; my views on the “new” Star Trek have been mentioned on more than one occasion. Still, despite my personal feelings, I can't help but realise that this book may be able to bring new fans out of the woodwork. In addition, I have to tip my hat to IDW to constantly putting out a quality produced comic book series. Read Full Review
