Comic Vine - Gregg Katzman Aug 21, 2013

"What can we do to make TMNT fans freak out in the best way possible?" That's likely the question that was posed before creating this issue, BECAUSE HOLY FAN SERVICE, BATMAN! Seriously, not only does this issue provide a more than compelling origin story for Karai, it also brings about an awesomely illustrated Karai vs. Dark Leo encounter and wraps up with one of the best teases ever for longtime fans of the franchise. I've said it before but I just can't say it enough -- now has got to be the best time to be a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. IDW continues to pump out simply fantastic TMNT stories and if you dig the classic franchise, it would be a terrible mistake to miss out on what they're doing right now. Read Full Review

Its not her fault, though, she just happens to be a cool character in an even cooler plot. Read Full Review

Leonardo shows up and this issue shows a huge change with him. I am excited for readers to see what that is. It gives you hope for the Turtles. Karai will be such a huge part to what is going to happen with Leo and the gang. She has power over the Turtles. They have no idea how much and it can only bring about more exciting battles between good and evil; and maybe even some evil vs. evil. TMNT are building some pretty big villains along. For teenage turtles, a rat, some chick, and an ex-hockey player we have got some work to do guys. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp Aug 26, 2013

Although this isn't a series I plan to pick up every month, the last two issues have been strong focusing on Alopex and now Karai, two of the more intriguing characters of the Foot Clan. Worth a look. Read Full Review
