Comic Bastards - James Anders II Mar 19, 2014

Five Ghosts is amazing. The perfect comic filled with swagger, action, and originality in a nice pulpy format. I cannot recommend this title any higher than I have. It continues to grow and build into something special. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Shane Hoffman Mar 18, 2014

This is a story I think most any comic fan would enjoy but also anyone who has been a fan of the classic action adventure movies like Sinbad, and Jason and the Argonauts. For me it embodies all of these things I have loved for years, and it is intelligent and just an amazing piece of fiction brought to life by an extraordinary artist. Read Full Review

Bloody Disgusting - Zac Thompson Mar 19, 2014

Its hard for me to find a fault in an issue like this. The voice is carefree, the action is heavy, and the implications for the future are far-reaching. The particulars of this book are made with such confidence that you could easily believe lifelong comics pros were behind everything. Instead its the commitment to creating a unique and developed world with complex characters that wins out over everything else. At the end of the day Five Ghosts exists in an endlessly complicated world that is communicated with relative ease. Its not an easy task, but it sure looks that way. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Marykate Jasper Mar 24, 2014

You know this is a great series when the 'catch-up-with-the-team' issue still includes a giant crab, a greed monster and a doom-prophesying ghost. "Five Ghosts" is back in fine form with its imaginative Issue #10, and I can't wait for Issue #11. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Forrest C. Helvie Mar 20, 2014

Even if the story is busy with laying the groundwork for the final confrontation in Part Five of the arc, readers will no doubt enjoy the visual feast awaiting them in this swashbuckling seafaring adventure. Read Full Review

Backwards Compatible - Paul Fiander Jul 29, 2014

As I stated above this is by no means a perfect jumping on point but the story is created so you do not feel too stranded. I’m very glad I have got acquainted with Five Ghosts but I wish I had started at an earlier point.  Some may not feel the same but I’m a completionist at heart. All I can say is that the 5 Ghosts have a new fan and I will be catching up and continuing the tale ASAP. Read Full Review

excellent "pulp" design, great artwork and colors, but weak writing that leaves me puzzled too often. too much jumping around the timeline & characters. things happening in orders that make no sense. not enough supernatural action. hard to follow monthly, maybe its a better read in TPB?
